Press M to open Litematica’s main menu by default. Press M + C to open its configuration menu, then choose Hotkeys to inspect or change shortcuts. Litematica uses malilib’s keybind system rather than Minecraft’s vanilla Controls list, so its shortcuts may not appear there.

These are the defaults documented in the Litematica FAQ; bindings can be changed, and menus or defaults may differ by installed version. Its wiki FAQ was edited November 19, 2023, and the wiki landing page shows an edit date of December 22, 2021. The documentation does not establish that these defaults apply to every current game-version build.

Load a schematic and configure its placement
- Press
Mto open the main menu. - Choose Load Schematics to open the schematic-loading workflow. The FAQ says schematic files go in
.minecraft/schematics/. - To adjust a placement, choose Schematic Placements → Configure from the main menu. Alternatively,
Numpad Minusopens settings for the currently selected placement by default.

The main menu provides access to areas such as schematic placements, the material list, the verifier, configuration, and other tools. The FAQ lists these additional default shortcuts:

Use the main menu when you want to navigate features; use the configuration menu’s Hotkeys tab when you want to find or change bindings. Litematica hotkeys support multi-key combinations. The defaults above are listed in the official hotkeys reference.

- Check your keyboard layout. A non-QWERTY layout can map a shortcut to a different physical key. The FAQ gives
,in place ofMas an AZERTY example. - Check Litematica’s Hotkeys page. Open the configuration menu with
M+Cif the default still works, then inspect the binding or assign a new one. Because Litematica uses malilib’s custom keybind system, checking only Minecraft’s vanilla Controls menu is not enough. - Try the mod configuration route if available. On Fabric, the separate Mod Menu mod can provide access to a mod’s configuration through its gear button, if installed.
