Download speed नहीं, upload speed मापें। YouTube सलाह देता है कि उपलब्ध upload bandwidth का करीब 20% खाली रखें, ताकि stream के साथ network का बाकी traffic भी चल सके। इसीलिए bitrate को speed-test में दिखे अधिकतम upload के बराबर रखना सुरक्षित नहीं है।

ये मान H.264 के लिए हैं; AV1 या H.265 चुनने पर YouTube की तालिका में अलग bitrate मान हैं। Minimum को लक्ष्य न समझें: स्थिर upload, audio bitrate और network के अन्य उपयोग के लिए जगह भी जरूरी है। कम upload पर 720p30 एक सावधान शुरुआती विकल्प हो सकता है, लेकिन आपकी सामग्री और कनेक्शन पर इसका परीक्षण जरूरी है। स्रोत: YouTube की encoder settings और bitrate तालिका.
720p30 या 1080p30?
720p30, 1080p30 की तुलना में कम bitrate माँगता है। अगर upload सीमित है, तो पहले resolution घटाने पर विचार करें। 60 FPS तभी चुनें जब तेज गति वाली सामग्री में उसका स्पष्ट लाभ हो और आपका upload उसे स्थिरता से भेज सके। YouTube ingest किए गए stream को दर्शकों के लिए अलग-अलग quality में transcode करता है।

आवश्यक bitrate से कम upload हो तो?
Recommended मान को पूरा न कर पाने पर resolution, FPS या bitrate घटाकर test करें। YouTube की minimum संख्या भी स्थिरता की गारंटी नहीं है। आवाज़ और गति वाली वास्तविक सामग्री के साथ preview और stream health देखें; स्थिर चित्र वाली छोटी जाँच पर्याप्त नहीं हो सकती।
OBS और YouTube में bitrate कैसे सेट करें
- Upload speed जाँचें। संभव हो तो Ethernet से जुड़ें और उसी नेटवर्क पर बड़े uploads/downloads रोकें। अलग-अलग समय पर speed test करें; एक नतीजा लंबे stream की स्थिरता साबित नहीं करता। साझा network की क्षमता बँट सकती है और upload, download से काफी कम हो सकता है। YouTube की streaming tips देखें।
- कुल stream bitrate के लिए margin रखें। YouTube की 20% headroom सलाह के अनुसार कुल भेजे जा रहे bitrate को स्थिर upload के लगभग 80% से अधिक न रखें। इसमें video के साथ audio भी शामिल है; घर के दूसरे network उपयोग के लिए भी जगह बचाएँ।
- YouTube Live Control Room में encoder stream बनाएँ। YouTube के encoder setup में stream URL और stream key मिलते हैं। OBS में Settings → Stream खोलकर YouTube service चुनें और key दर्ज करें। YouTube ingest के लिए RTMP/RTMPS बताता है और RTMPS की अनुशंसा करता है।
- OBS में output settings तय करें। Settings → Output में video bitrate सेट करें। Settings → Video में output (scaled) resolution और FPS चुनें। OBS के संस्करण के अनुसार labels में थोड़ा अंतर हो सकता है।
- CBR और keyframe interval सेट करें। YouTube CBR और 2-second keyframes सुझाता है; keyframe interval 4 seconds से अधिक न रखें। YouTube की वर्तमान encoder निर्देशिका और OBS का version-specific interface साथ देखकर setting लागू करें।
- वास्तविक test stream चलाएँ। YouTube preview और stream health तथा OBS के dropped-frame संकेतक देखें। वास्तविक audio और movement के साथ परीक्षण करें। यदि OBS में network dropped frames या YouTube पर अस्थिर ingest दिखे, bitrate घटाएँ और दोबारा test करें।
- अस्थिर Wi-Fi की जाँच करें। Router के पास Ethernet लगाकर फिर test करें। Wired connection Wi-Fi की अस्थिरता घटाने में मदद कर सकता है, लेकिन ISP की upload क्षमता या provider congestion नहीं बदलता।
- Stream key सुरक्षित रखें। इसे password की तरह मानें; screenshot या सार्वजनिक पोस्ट में न दिखाएँ। Key उजागर हो जाए तो YouTube Studio में reset करें और OBS में नई key डालें। YouTube के live stream settings में key प्रबंधन के निर्देश हैं।
Dropped frames और अस्थिर stream का निदान

- OBS में network dropped frames दिखें: bitrate घटाएँ, फिर stream test करें। यदि सुधार न हो तो FPS या resolution भी घटाएँ।
- Wi-Fi पर ही समस्या दिखे: Ethernet से जाँचें। इससे पता चल सकता है कि बाधा स्थानीय wireless connection में है या नहीं।
- Speed test ठीक, लेकिन stream अस्थिर: अलग समय पर upload मापें, नेटवर्क पर दूसरे traffic को रोकें और provider congestion या अन्य network interruption की संभावना पर विचार करें। एक speed test निरंतर upload का प्रमाण नहीं है।
- लंबे stream में रुकावट: 24/7 प्रसारण बिजली, PC और network की निरंतर उपलब्धता पर निर्भर है। YouTube बताता है कि network interruption stream तोड़ सकती है; OBS भी network को encoder से अलग संभावित कारण मानता है। भारतीय broadband पर uninterrupted 24/7 uptime की कोई सार्वभौमिक गारंटी नहीं है।
24/7 OBS stream में महीने का data कितना लगेगा?
लगातार भेजे गए कुल bitrate (video और audio) का मोटा अनुमान लगाने के लिए decimal units में 1 Mbps × 86,400 seconds ÷ 8 bits per byte = लगभग 10.8 GB प्रतिदिन है। 30 दिन में यह करीब 324 GB होता है। यह इकाई-आधारित गणना है, किसी ISP का प्रकाशित आँकड़ा नहीं।

OBS से 24/7 चलाने की व्यावहारिक सीमाएँ
OBS तरीका चुनने पर वही computer, बिजली और network लंबे समय तक चालू रहने चाहिए। YouTube और OBS के बताए encoder settings सही होने पर भी घरेलू broadband interruption को रोका नहीं जा सकता। OBS की Overview Guide में Output तथा Video settings के स्थान और stream test की मूल बातें दी गई हैं; उसके कुछ interface विवरण पुराने संस्करणों के हो सकते हैं।
