LG lists up to 220 W suction power and up to 60 minutes of Eco runtime without a nozzle; those are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results. Home Beautiful rated the model 9/10 and praised the tower and floor head, while noting that the tower was awkward to fit in a cupboard and Turbo could pull thinner carpets into the roller. Those are that publication’s observations, not controlled test findings.

What does the A9L-TOWER include?
LG Australia describes the A9L-TOWER as a graphite cordless handstick vacuum supplied with an All-in-One Tower. The tower charges and stores the cleaner and automatically empties its handheld dust bin into a tower bag. LG lists a Dual Floor Max nozzle with LED lighting, a telescopic pipe with four lengths, a Smart Inverter Motor, a five-step filtration system, an Axial Turbo Cyclone and KOMPRESSOR technology. LG says the A9L series is designed for sealed floor surfaces commonly found in Australian homes; the suitability of upholstery, stairs and awkward spaces depends on the model and included accessories. The tower’s convenience is also a design trade-off: it needs a location where the vacuum can remain docked, and the dust is collected in a bag that eventually needs replacing. Home Beautiful found the tower difficult to accommodate in a cupboard. Its 2.5 L capacity is specified by LG; an exact Australian replacement-bag part number was not established in the available product information, so check compatibility with the All-in-One Tower before buying bags.

How does it clean carpet and hard floors?
LG identifies the Dual Floor Max nozzle as suitable for carpet and hard floors and includes LED lighting to illuminate the cleaning path. Home Beautiful reported that the head transitioned between those floor types and praised the visibility from the LEDs. It also described the Turbo-mode cleaning impression positively, but these are editorial hands-on observations rather than results from a controlled comparison.
One caveat for homes with lightweight rugs: Home Beautiful reported that Turbo pulled some thinner carpets into the roller. If that happens, try a lower setting or another appropriate head or technique, and check the floor-head guidance for your exact model. The review does not establish a measured pickup score for either floor type.

How long does the LG CordZero A9L-TOWER battery last?
LG lists the following maximum runtimes per battery. These are manufacturer claims, not independently measured results; actual duration can depend on the cleaning conditions and setup.

The runtime difference makes the selected mode and whether a nozzle is attached important when estimating how much of the home one charge can cover. LG lists one 2400 mAh lithium-ion battery for this Australian A9L-TOWER configuration, with a 25.9 V rated voltage and a 240-minute charging time. Do not assume that specifications for nearby A9L variants apply: battery count and included equipment can differ.

How much space does the auto-empty tower need?
LG lists the cleaner at 265 × 1120 × 305 mm and 2.88 kg. The tower is listed at 1009 × 297 × 255 mm and 9.7 kg. Allow room for the assembled unit and access to remove or use the vacuum; the listed tower dimensions do not account for any extra clearance your chosen location may require. Home Beautiful’s report that it was hard to fit the tower in a cupboard is a practical warning for homes with limited storage.
The cleaner has a 0.4 L bin, which LG says holds 1.0 L when compressed using KOMPRESSOR technology. The tower bag capacity is 2.5 L. The tower supports Auto and Manual emptying modes and has a replacement-cycle alarm, according to LG. The automatic transfer reduces routine manual emptying, but it does not remove the need to handle and replace the tower bag.

Home Beautiful gave the A9L-TOWER a 9/10 editorial rating in its A9L range review. Its favorable comments about the tower, nozzle and Turbo cleaning, along with the cupboard and thin-carpet caveats, are the basis for that publication’s assessment—not a laboratory score. CHOICE’s public model page lists a price of $999, a 2.86 kg weight, a 0.4 L measured dust collector, a four-hour claimed charge time and supplied accessories including a powered brush head, combination tool, crevice tool, emptying dock/charger and an extra bin bag. Who should buy the A9L-TOWER?
It is a better fit if
- You want a dock that charges and stores the cleaner while automating transfer of dust into a bag.
- You have a suitable, accessible place for a tower about 1009 mm high and are comfortable replacing compatible bags.
- Your cleaning routine can make use of Eco or Normal mode, reserving Turbo for shorter jobs where needed.
- You value the included Dual Floor Max nozzle and its LED lighting for sealed floors and carpet.
Consider another configuration if
- You have little floor or cupboard space for a standing tower, or prefer not to buy and dispose of dust bags.
- You need longer cleaning sessions at high power and want more than the single included battery. Verify the battery count for the exact SKU rather than relying on a similar model’s name.
- Your home has lightweight rugs that may be pulled into the roller at Turbo power.
Home Beautiful describes the A9L-MULTI as a dual-battery alternative without the auto-empty tower, and reported article-time RRPs of $799 for that model and $999 for the A9L-TOWER. These are editorially reported prices that may be out of date, not confirmed current offers. Compare the exact Australian SKU, battery count, included tools and heads, tower, and local warranty terms before choosing between configurations.
What should you verify before purchase?
- Confirm the exact regional model code and that it is A9L-TOWER; do not transfer specifications from A9L-TOWER2, A9L-TITAN, A9X-AUTO or older North American A9 models.
- Check current Australian stock, price, included accessories and replacement-bag compatibility with the seller.
- Confirm warranty terms for the exact SKU. LG lists two years of parts and labour for the product, 12 months for the battery, and an additional eight years of parts warranty on the Smart Inverter Motor; check the applicable terms at purchase.
- Note that LG says Wi-Fi/ThinQ is not included on this SKU.
