Lepro sells permanent outdoor lights in two distinct product lines, E1 and EE1, and the details differ enough that you should check the exact model and length before buying. Lepro’s US E1 page lists 50-, 100-, and 150-foot options; its EE1 page has separate specifications for mounting, connectivity, weather protection, and cutting. Those are manufacturer descriptions, not independent performance tests, so they can help you assess fit but cannot establish how the lights will look or hold up on your house.
Start by identifying the exact Lepro model
“Lepro permanent outdoor lights” can refer to more than one product. Lepro’s US E1 product page lists 50-, 100-, and 150-foot variants. The separate EE1 product page describes a different line. Do not assume EE1 package contents, ratings, or controller limits apply to E1.

Lepro’s Canadian listing for a 100-foot E1 describes RGB color, individually addressable control, tunable white light from 2200K to 6500K, adhesive and screw-hole mounting, and a 2.4 GHz app connection. Those specifications apply to that regional listing and should not be treated as universal E1 specifications: Lepro Canada’s 100-foot E1 page.
Plan an EE1 installation around its kit and mounting
For the EE1, Lepro lists adhesive and screw mounting. Its US product page describes a package containing eight 25-foot light strings, two 10-foot extension cables, two 5-foot extension cables, a dual-port controller, a power adapter, pre-applied and extra 3M tape, screws, and anchors. Check the selected length variant: the page lists different set lengths, so do not assume every package contains the same amount of lighting or identical components.

Before mounting, map the roofline and the locations of the controller and adapter. Compare the run you need with the selected kit’s length and the included wiring, and choose mounting points with the supplied tape or screws in mind. The product information does not establish a universal installation time or guarantee that a particular house’s roofline can be covered without additional planning.
Check EE1 Wi-Fi and smart-home compatibility
Lepro says full EE1 app functionality requires 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. The page also says Bluetooth provides most app features, but Alexa connectivity is not available over Bluetooth. Lepro lists Alexa and Google Assistant support for EE1, and says it does not support Apple HomeKit, Matter, or IFTTT.

Check that the required Wi-Fi signal is available where the controller will be installed, not just inside the house near your router. The product page does not establish compatibility details for every router, network configuration, or smart-home setup.
Read EE1 weather ratings by component
The EE1 system does not have one rating that applies to every part. Lepro lists IP67 for the light strings, IP65 for the in-line controller, and IP44 for the power adapter. It advises placing the adapter in an enclosed outdoor electrical box; the plug itself is not waterproof. Protect the adapter according to the instructions for the exact product and your installation conditions rather than assuming the string’s rating covers the power connection.

Do not cut EE1 lights without confirming support
Lepro says current EE1 firmware does not support cutting and may miscount lights after a cut. Its page names a Lepro splice kit for custom installations, but that mention is not confirmation that cutting is currently supported or that a cut will work correctly. Verify compatibility with Lepro for the exact kit and controller before modifying the light string.
Lepro also says EE1 controllers for the 50-, 200-, and 300-foot sets are not interchangeable. Treat the controller as part of the selected set rather than assuming a controller from another EE1 length will work.

How to evaluate the claims
Lepro promotes AI-generated lighting designs and, for EE1, a 50,000-hour lifespan. These are manufacturer claims; the product information cited here does not provide independent testing that verifies lifespan, real-world durability, brightness, or the appearance of the lights on a particular home. The E1 page likewise presents product features and promotional imagery, not independent results.
That makes the most useful buying checks practical ones: confirm the model and length, review the components and mounting approach for that variant, and ensure the relevant controller and power connection can be installed where they need to go. The product information alone cannot establish whether the result will be a worthwhile upgrade for your house.
