In the configuration reviewed by Computeractive, it pairs that unusual shape with a touch-sensitive top, customizable lighting, built-in microphones, a fingerprint reader and a useful spread of ports. Those touches make the design more than a visual novelty, though its fixed 16 GB of memory and £930 UK review price are meaningful trade-offs.
What makes the Yoga Mini’s shape different?
The Yoga Mini is a small desktop computer in a puck-like enclosure, measuring 48 × 130 × 130 mm in the reviewed configuration. It is powered by a USB-C cable and adapter, and its round footprint is intended to sit on a desk rather than mimic a conventional tower. The dimensions and configuration here are from Computeractive Issue 745, dated 23 September–6 October 2026; they should not be assumed to apply to every regional model or SKU. Computeractive review

The enclosure also acts as part of the computer’s interface. The top is touch-sensitive and customizable: the reviewer says a tap can switch off the ambient lighting, while a double tap launches Lenovo Voice Mode. Lighting on the underside can respond to music or use a selected color to indicate notifications. The design includes two microphones at the front and a fingerprint reader built into the power button.

The tested configuration combines an eight-core Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor, 16 GB of DDR5 memory, Intel Graphics, a 1 TB SSD, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Windows 11 Home. Its listed connections are:
#1 Best Overall
- Compact and efficient: The Lenovo ThinkCentre M710q mini desktop PC is a compact and efficient mini desktop PC with reliable performance, plenty of memory, and efficient storage.
- Stable Processor - 6th Gen Intel Core i3-6100T, delivering reliable processing power for a variety of tasks including office productivity, web browsing and multimedia consumption.
- AMPLE CAPACITY - 8GB DDR4 RAM provides ample memory for seamless multitasking, smooth performance and runs multiple applications at the same time; 256GB solid state drive offers fast boot times, quick data access, and enough storage space for essential files, documents and applications.
- FLEXIBLE EXPANSION - USB Type-A, DisplayPort, RJ-45, headphone/microphone combo jack, ensuring easy connection to peripherals and accessories.
- Operating System: Windows 11 Pro - a powerful, secure, compatible and more manageable operating system that helps you better manage and protect your devices and data for greater productivity and security.
- Two Thunderbolt 4 ports
- Two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports
- Two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports
- HDMI 2.1
- Gigabit Ethernet
- A 3.5 mm audio socket
That is a broad selection for a computer this compact, with Ethernet and several direct display and peripheral connections alongside wireless networking. A dock may still be useful if a desk setup needs more connections, but the review does not establish that one is required or identify a compatible model.
Can you upgrade the Yoga Mini?
Storage: replaceable, but awkward to access
Computeractive reports that the SSD can be replaced after removing the top. The process requires a suction removal tool. The review does not specify the drive’s physical size or interface, so confirm compatibility before buying a replacement rather than assuming a particular SSD will fit.

- Powerful Processor: Intel Core i7-6700T, 4 Cores, up to 3.6GHz for fast and reliable performance.
- High-Capacity Memory: 32GB DDR4 RAM for seamless multitasking and productivity.
- Large Storage: 1TB SSD for quick boot-up, faster load times, and secure file storage.
- Integrated Graphics for smooth visuals and everyday tasks.
- Compact Design: Ultra-small form factor, ideal for tight workspaces and versatile placement.
Memory: fixed at 16 GB
The RAM is soldered and cannot be upgraded. That makes the reviewed 16 GB configuration the memory capacity to live with, so consider likely workloads and how long you plan to keep the machine before choosing it.

During more than a month of daily use, the Computeractive reviewer found the Yoga Mini handled office productivity and light image editing well, booted quickly and did not show unexpected slowdowns. The same review reports that it trailed the Apple Mac mini M4 and Geekom IT13 Max in its performance tests, while running a little faster than the GMKtec NucBox K17. Those are the publication’s observations and test comparisons; the available account does not provide benchmark figures or a standardized price comparison for all four machines.

The integrated Intel Graphics is not presented as suitable for serious gaming. If demanding games or graphics-heavy work are central to the purchase, the Yoga Mini’s compact styling and built-in controls do not make up for that limitation.

Computeractive listed a UK publication price of £930 in its September–October 2026 issue. That is a dated review price, not confirmation of today’s price, availability or an Amazon listing. The review’s verdict praised the design, ports, fingerprint reader and built-in microphones, while noting that the machine costs more than rivals with similar performance.

The Yoga Mini is most compelling for someone who wants a discreet, distinctive desktop for office work and everyday use, and values convenient controls and connectivity in the enclosure itself. Its case is less persuasive if the priority is maximum performance per pound, expandable memory or serious gaming. Before purchase, check the price and exact configuration offered in your region; the reviewed specifications may not describe every SKU.
What was known before the reviewed model?
At CES 2026, an earlier APC show-floor report described the Yoga Mini as a 0.65-litre mini PC with sensors, microphones and speakers, a bottom light bar, and an expected removable top. Those were early show-floor details, not a substitute for the later review of a retail configuration. The reviewed-product evidence supports the top touch controls, configurable underside lighting and microphones described above; it does not establish speculative sensor capabilities as confirmed features.
