The request is for feedback on its user interface and performance—not a report of measured results or specific problems. The original post is dated “Sep 20” without a visible year; the app’s current behavior could not be confirmed.
What is Labor-Lex?
In a DEV Community post, Sarahi describes Labor-Lex as a web app for Mexican labor and tax calculations and says it was built with Python and JavaScript. These are the author’s descriptions; no independently accessible technical documentation or repository establishes its implementation or the calculations it supports.

The author’s request is direct: “Would love some feedback on UI & performance.” The post does not identify a particular interface issue, publish a speed measurement, or report results from testing.
What feedback would be useful?
For a calculation tool, useful feedback should describe a concrete task and the point where the experience succeeds or becomes unclear. These are review questions, not observed problems with Labor-Lex:
#1 Best Overall
- Fundamental, two-line calculator that combines statistics and advanced scientific functions for high school math and science
- Two-line display shows the entry and calculated result at the same time for easy understanding of the calculation
- Fraction features, conversions, and basic scientific and trigonometric functions
- Solar and battery powered
- Approved for use on SAT, ACT and AP exams
- Finding the right task: Can a visitor tell which kind of labor or tax calculation the app offers and where to begin?
- Understanding inputs: Are field labels, date ranges, units, and required values clear to someone unfamiliar with the interface?
- Interpreting results: Does the app explain its assumptions and show enough of the calculation breakdown for a user to understand the result?
- Recovering from mistakes: If a value is missing or invalid, does the message say what needs attention and how to fix it?
- Performance in context: What device, browser, connection, and action were involved when a page or calculation felt slow? Naming these helps distinguish a repeatable delay from a one-off experience.
When reporting feedback, include the steps taken, what you expected, what happened instead, and—if relevant—the device and browser. Avoid sharing real payroll, tax, or other personal information in screenshots or examples.
What can be confirmed about the app today?

Rank #2
- View multiple calculations at the same time: Compare results and explore patterns on-screen with the MultiView display that supports up to four lines
- See math exactly as it appears in textbooks: Display math expressions, symbols and stacked fractions exactly the way they appear in textbooks — no need to adapt to a technical syntax; provides quick access to frequently used functions
- Scientific notation output: View scientific notation with the proper superscripted exponents and see the output in scientific notation
- Explore (x,y) table of values: Students can easily explore an (x,y) table of values for a given function automatically or by entering specific x values
- The TI-30XS MultiView scientific calculator is ideal for general math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Statistics, general science, Biology and Chemistry
How it fits the wider category
Online services for Mexican labor and fiscal calculations do exist. For example, CISS describes a service covering tax calculations, IMSS and INFONAVIT contributions, settlements, and liquidations, with calculation procedures and legal or fiscal bases: CISS’s service page. That is provider-published information about CISS, not evidence that Labor-Lex offers the same functions or that either service’s results have been independently validated here.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesA meaningful comparison would require checking each tool’s supported calculations, displayed legal basis and update dates, assumptions, result breakdowns, export options, and treatment of user data. The available information does not support ranking Labor-Lex against other services.
