First confirm that the exact exchange product is available where you live, then compare the same trading pair or contract, order type, and account tier using each platform’s current fee display. KuCoin publishes a 0.1% maker-and-taker spot reference for some pairs, not a universal rate; Crypto.com directs users to its live Fees & Limits page for current rates.
What should you compare first?
Start with the product you intend to use and whether it is available to you. “KuCoin” and “Crypto.com” each cover more than one type of service, and access can differ by country, local entity, and product. Crypto.com distinguishes its Exchange from its Main App; the Exchange feature page describes the Exchange App as a separate product.

Once eligibility is clear, compare the exact market and order you expect to place. A useful fee comparison matches spot with spot or the same kind of derivative contract, maker with maker or taker with taker, and the same account tier. Include a fee-token or locked-token benefit only if you qualify for it and intend to use it. Rates and product access can change, so check the live product and fee pages before trading.

KuCoin spot markets and fees
KuCoin’s spot-fee guidance uses pairs with a 0.1% maker fee and 0.1% taker fee as a reference. It expressly cautions that some pairs have different rates, so that figure should not be treated as a current price for every market. Check the rate shown on the specific trading page. The account’s fee level and whether an order is classified as maker or taker also affect the fee. KuCoin Help Center: How are Fees Calculated and Charged? (Spot Trading)

In KuCoin’s examples, a market order is charged as taker; a limit order with Post Only enabled is treated as maker. The fee token can vary by pair. In some cases, if a fee is deducted from the asset being traded, the credited quantity will be lower than the gross trade quantity.
Crypto.com Exchange spot markets

Which platform has lower fees?
The available published figures do not establish a current, like-for-like winner. KuCoin’s 0.1% spot figure is a reference for some pairs, while Crypto.com’s fee explainer points readers to the Fees & Limits page for current rates. Crypto.com’s 2023 article also says that derivative tiers and rates may change. Avoid judging by a headline figure alone: check the rate shown for your account, market, and order before placing a trade. Crypto.com Help Center: Applicable Fees

What changes when you trade derivatives?
KuCoin futures
KuCoin describes futures transaction fees as position value multiplied by the fee rate. The rate depends on the account’s fee level and whether the order is maker or taker. Its guidance covers both USDT-margined and coin-margined contracts, as well as perpetual and delivery contracts. KuCoin Help Center: How to Calculate Trading Fee (Futures Trading)
Perpetual contracts may incur funding payments or credits every eight hours. Funding is separate from the transaction fee and can affect the cost or return of holding a position. Delivery contracts do not have funding payments, but can involve opening, closing, and delivery charges. These mechanics mean a spot-fee comparison does not predict the cost of holding a futures position.

KuCoin’s bot-fee guidance, last updated September 8, 2025, describes spot bot strategies as following spot fee rules, with a 20% discount against the LV0 fee for selected coins. It also states a 0.06% fixed rate for futures bot strategies. These are dated, strategy-specific terms, not general rates for all spot or futures orders; verify the current bot and fee conditions before using them. KuCoin Help Center: Trading Bot Fee Rules
How should you check regional availability?
Use the current product pages and restriction information for your country rather than relying on a general brand-level claim. Crypto.com publishes separate spot and derivatives restriction pages, both dated May 7, 2025; its spot page warns that the list may change as regulation changes. A dated list should not be treated as permanent confirmation of access. Crypto.com spot trading geo-restrictions and Crypto.com derivatives trading geo-restrictions.

Which one should you choose?
Choose based on your own market and product requirements rather than a blanket claim about the cheaper exchange. If you mainly trade spot, compare the pair you actually need and its displayed maker and taker rates. If you use derivatives, compare contract availability, transaction fees, funding or settlement mechanics, and eligibility. If you use Crypto.com, make sure the rates and features you are viewing belong to the Exchange rather than the separate Main App.
