Konami is considering multiple projects for the Silent Hill series, producer Motoi Okamoto said in a reported Famitsu interview. He described recent releases as a “first wave” and referred to possible second and third waves, but the interview reporting does not identify the projects or confirm that they are approved, in production, or scheduled.

What did Silent Hill producer Motoi Okamoto say?

Okamoto said Konami could not share specifics but was “currently looking at a number of projects.” The reported interview frames the recent releases as a first wave and says the series should consider what might follow in second and third waves. Those phrases describe a planning outlook, not a confirmed release slate. Read the interview reporting.

The English sentence is attributed to Okamoto in coverage of the Famitsu interview. The original passage and its Japanese wording were not directly available in that reporting, so it is safest to treat the sentence as a reported translation rather than a verified verbatim quotation.

Which new Silent Hill games are being developed?

The projects Okamoto referred to have not been publicly identified in the available interview reporting. It names no titles, development studios, platforms, or release windows, and does not establish whether each project has moved beyond consideration. There is therefore no confirmed list of upcoming games to compare.

How does this relate to the Silent Hill remake and Townfall?

Konami’s FY2026 group report had earlier discussed continued Silent Hill development, including a remake of the first game and Silent Hill: Townfall. That corporate report predates Okamoto’s later interview; it does not establish that either named game is among the projects he was discussing. See Konami’s FY2026 group report context.

Townfall has also been the subject of a PlayStation Blog interview with Okamoto and writer/director Jon McKellan, which discussed Konami’s story guidance and the developers’ interpretation of the series. That provides context on Townfall’s development, not an identification of Okamoto’s unnamed projects. Read the PlayStation Blog interview.

What does Konami’s Silent Hill 2 player figure mean?

Konami Digital Entertainment reported in 2026 that the Silent Hill 2 remake had surpassed 6 million total players. This is a player count, not a sales figure, and it does not provide information about the status or identity of the projects Okamoto mentioned. See Konami’s announcement.
