Its published dimensions and claimed energy use can help with a fit check; they are not enough to establish how well it cools or what it will cost to run in your home.
What the KAM236TMSFA offers
CHOICE lists the KAM236TMSFA as a top-mount refrigerator with a claimed total capacity of 236L: 176L for the fridge and 60L for the freezer. The Kogan guide, which covers both the KAM236TMSFA and KAM236TMSFB, describes adjustable glass shelves and door trays, a fruit-and-vegetable compartment, temperature controls, a damper adjustment and a super-cool setting. These describe the layout and controls, not independently measured cooling or food-storage performance.

CHOICE lists the cabinet at 153cm high × 55cm wide × 61cm deep, and recommended installation space at 158cm high × 65cm wide × 66cm deep. Allow for the recommended space rather than measuring only the cabinet. Check the manual and the specific appliance before committing, including ventilation, door swing and whether the unit can pass through the delivery route.

The Kogan guide says the hinge side can be changed, but the tools needed are not supplied. If you need the doors to open from the opposite side, factor in the tools and installation work before purchase. The guide also says to leave the fridge standing for two hours before connecting it to power during initial setup.
Energy use and running-cost context
CHOICE lists a 3-star energy rating and claimed consumption of 289 kWh per year. That figure is a listed claim, not an estimate of your electricity bill: multiplying it by your electricity tariff gives a simple annual energy-cost estimate, but actual consumption and cost depend on conditions and use. CHOICE’s listing does not publicly show its measured energy-cost results.

Controls, cleaning and service
Temperature settings and defrosting
The guide describes a temperature control that cycles through settings. After a change, it says the appliance runs at the selected setting once 15 seconds pass without another adjustment. It also describes automatic defrosting. Neither instruction establishes measured temperature consistency or how long food will keep.

Routine care and repairs
Kogan recommends routine cleaning, checking the door gasket and keeping the area behind and beneath the appliance clean. Do not use mechanical devices to speed up defrosting. The guide directs LED lamp replacement or maintenance to Kogan, an authorised service agent or a similarly qualified person; work involving the refrigerant system should likewise be left to qualified, authorised service personnel.

The guide warns that the refrigerant and blowing gas are flammable. Keep ventilation openings clear and dispose of the appliance under local requirements. The practical case for considering one is narrow: the listed dimensions and capacity may suit a space that needs a small top-mount fridge-freezer, and the guide documents basic adjustable storage and controls. Before choosing it over another appliance, compare usable fridge and freezer space, installed clearance and door opening, energy rating and annual consumption, warranty and availability, and independently published cooling, noise and reliability results. For this model, the public evidence does not settle those performance questions.
