Juicebox vs. SeekOut Spot: Should Your Team Source Candidates or Outsource?

Juicebox and SeekOut Sourcing are tools your recruiters run. SeekOut Spot is a managed sourcing service. Here’s how to tell which model fits your team.

Juicebox is recruiting software your team runs; SeekOut Spot is a managed sourcing service that does sourcing work for you. The distinction needs one caveat: SeekOut also sells sourcing software, so the real choice is between Juicebox, SeekOut Sourcing, and SeekOut Spot—not simply Juicebox versus all of SeekOut.

Is Juicebox a recruiting tool or a recruiting service?

Juicebox is presented as an AI sourcing platform for a recruiting team to operate in its own account. Its product page describes candidate search, outreach sequences, and AI agents, and reports access to more than 800 million profiles across more than 30 data sources. Those figures are Juicebox’s claims, not an independent measure of profile accuracy, coverage, or hiring results. Juicebox’s product page was accessed October 7, 2026.

In this model, recruiters retain responsibility for defining a search, reviewing candidates, and deciding whom to contact. The software supports that work; it is not the same as hiring an external team to produce a candidate slate.

Does SeekOut find candidates for you?

It depends which SeekOut offering you mean. SeekOut Sourcing is software for recruiters to use, while SeekOut Spot is a managed service with scope and fees set under an engagement agreement.

SeekOut Sourcing software

SeekOut describes its Sourcing product as supporting AI-assisted search, candidate outreach, and ATS/CRM integrations. Its official page reports access to more than 1 billion candidate profiles and 750+ customers. These are SeekOut-reported figures, accessed October 7, 2026, not independent comparisons of database quality or customer outcomes. SeekOut says, “Recruiters set the bar and make every call.” See SeekOut’s Sourcing product page.

With the software, the recruiting team performs the sourcing workflow. It is an option to investigate if your team wants candidate-search software and integrations while keeping day-to-day recruiting decisions in-house.

SeekOut Spot managed sourcing

SeekOut Spot is a service rather than just another name for SeekOut’s software. A SeekOut Spot Services Agreement dated February 14, 2025 describes candidate slate packs and hire packs. Under the slate-pack terms, SeekOut supplies ten qualified prospective candidates who have expressed interest for each active search. Delivery is estimated at approximately two weeks after both parties agree on the scorecard and calibration profiles. The client’s recruiting team then continues engaging candidates.

The agreement says, “SeekOut does not guarantee that prospective candidates will accept a role with Client.” These terms describe that agreement; the scope and fees for an engagement are set in its applicable schedule, so they should not be assumed to apply identically to every current Spot engagement. Read the SeekOut Spot Services Agreement.

How do the three options differ in practice?

Option Operating model Who does the sourcing? Scope described by the vendor
Juicebox Software used in the recruiting team’s account Your recruiting team, supported by search and outreach tools Candidate search, outreach sequences, and AI agents
SeekOut Sourcing Software used by the recruiting team Your recruiting team, using the platform AI-assisted search, outreach, and ATS/CRM integrations
SeekOut Spot Managed service under an engagement agreement SeekOut’s service team performs sourcing; the specific support depends on the agreed pack Candidate slate packs and hire packs

The profile totals do not settle which option is better. Juicebox reports 800M+ profiles and SeekOut reports 1B+; neither count, by itself, establishes how current, relevant, or complete profiles are for a particular role.

Which operating model fits your recruiting team?

Choose software when you have capacity to run the workflow

Juicebox or SeekOut Sourcing may be worth evaluating if recruiters can own search setup, candidate review, outreach, and follow-up. Compare the products against the specific sourcing workflow you need, including the importance of ATS/CRM connections and how your team wants to manage outreach.

Consider a managed service when you need sourcing capacity

SeekOut Spot may be relevant if your team is looking for external sourcing work under a service agreement rather than another platform for recruiters to operate. Clarify the applicable pack, candidate criteria, handoff, timing, fees, and who owns candidate follow-up before signing.

Assess workflow and time-to-use before profile totals

  • Identify who will define searches, assess candidate fit, conduct outreach, and handle follow-up.
  • For software, verify that the search and ATS/CRM workflow suits your recruiting process.
  • For a service, agree on deliverables, scorecards, calibration, and handoffs in the engagement schedule.
  • Ask how the vendor’s profile-count claims translate to the roles and locations you actually hire for; headline totals are not quality or outcome measures.

How much do Juicebox and SeekOut cost?

SeekOut’s pricing page, accessed October 7, 2026, listed Recruit Core at $149 per month when paid annually up front ($1,788 per year), or $179 per month billed monthly. The page described higher-tier Sourcing, Sourcing + Integration, and Full Recruiting Funnel plans as custom quoted and also described a free trial. Confirm current availability, package contents, billing terms, taxes, and any geographic limits directly with SeekOut; pricing can change. Check SeekOut’s current pricing page.

Juicebox’s comparison page says its Free, Starter, and Growth plans have published prices and Business is custom, but it does not establish exact prices here. Check Juicebox’s pricing page for current figures rather than relying on an old quote.

SeekOut Spot is priced through the applicable engagement schedule, according to the February 14, 2025 agreement; the agreement does not provide one universal fee for every engagement. For a like-for-like decision, compare the total software subscription and internal recruiter time with the service scope and fees actually offered to your team.

What should you compare before deciding?

  • Ownership: Do you want recruiters to run sourcing themselves, or do you need an outside team to deliver sourcing work?
  • Capacity: Is there enough recruiter time for search, outreach, and follow-up?
  • Workflow: Which product’s search, outreach, and integrations fit your existing recruiting process?
  • Deliverables: If considering Spot, what candidate slate or other work is included in your specific agreement?
  • Evidence: Treat vendor-reported profile and customer counts as scale claims, not proof of candidate fit or hiring success.
  • Cost: Compare current software pricing and the actual service quote, including billing terms and scope.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
