Reliance management said digital services grew 20% year over year in its July 2026 Q1 FY2027 discussion, from a smaller base than connectivity. It also said 5G-related expenses and assets had been fully capitalized—a milestone in Jio’s 5G investment cycle, not evidence that Reliance-wide capital spending has peaked.
Jio Platforms’ financial growth is broader than connectivity
For FY2026, Jio Platforms reported revenue of ₹1,46,885 crore, up 14.6% year over year, and EBITDA of ₹76,255 crore, up 18.8%, with an EBITDA margin of 51.9%. These are company-reported platform figures, not a separate measure of enterprise services.

Jio Platforms is the digital technology and services platform; Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited is its operating subsidiary and telecom business. The distinction matters when reading subscriber figures: the company profile reported 524.4 million Reliance Jio Infocomm customers in India as of March 31, 2026. Reliance management later reported 285 million 5G subscribers as of June 30, 2026. Neither number is an enterprise-customer count.

In Reliance’s July 2026 Q1 FY2027 discussion, management said digital services grew 20% year over year, outpacing connectivity growth, a pattern it said had continued over several quarters. Management also qualified the comparison: digital services grew from a smaller base. The figure is a growth rate, not a disclosed share of Jio Platforms’ revenue.

The monetized digital-services categories named by management include content, cloud, IoT and managed services. The available results do not break out revenue, customer numbers or margins for these categories individually, or provide a standalone enterprise-services revenue figure. It is therefore possible to identify the direction of growth, but not to calculate how much of Jio’s total growth came specifically from enterprise services.
Jio’s enterprise strategy includes AI, but revenue impact remains unquantified
Reliance’s FY2026 annual report describes Reliance Enterprise Intelligence Limited, a joint venture with Meta intended to develop enterprise-ready AI solutions. The initiative is designed to use Meta’s open-source Llama models alongside Reliance’s enterprise and small-business footprint. It signals an effort to extend Jio’s digital capabilities into business services, but the company has not quantified realized revenue from the venture in the reviewed disclosures.

The distinction is important: a strategic initiative is not the same as a proven revenue stream. The public figures cited here do not establish the venture’s customer count, commercial scale, margins or contribution to Jio Platforms’ results.
What “5G-related expenses and assets fully capitalized” means
During the July 2026 Q1 FY2027 discussion, Reliance management said 5G-related expenses and assets had been fully capitalized. This marks a stage in the 5G investment cycle. It does not establish that all future Jio investment will stop, nor that Reliance Industries’ overall capital expenditure has reached a peak.

The group continued to report substantial spending across its businesses: Reliance Industries reported consolidated capex of ₹1,44,271 crore for FY2026 and ₹38,682 crore for Q1 FY2027. These are Reliance-wide totals, not Jio-only figures, and cannot be used as a direct measure of Jio’s 5G or enterprise investment. The company has not provided a definitive group-wide capex peak forecast in the cited disclosures.

What the disclosures establish—and what they do not
- Established: Jio Platforms reported FY2026 revenue and EBITDA growth, while management said digital-services growth outpaced connectivity growth in its Q1 FY2027 discussion.
- Established: Content, cloud, IoT and managed services were identified as monetized categories, and Reliance has announced an enterprise-AI joint venture with Meta.
- Not established: The separate revenue, customer base or profitability of enterprise services, or the realized revenue contribution of the Meta joint venture.
- Not established: That Reliance-wide capex has peaked. The 5G capitalization milestone and consolidated group capex figures describe different things.
