IVPN offers three VPN plans, open-source apps, and privacy-focused features, but the available evidence does not establish its speed or streaming performance. Its published plans range from $2 weekly to $100 yearly, depending on tier and billing term. The key distinctions are device limits and whether you want its additional email-alias, DNS-filtering, or application-control services.
What does IVPN include?
IVPN’s service combines VPN access with optional privacy tools in higher tiers. According to IVPN’s 2026 plan information, Standard covers VPN use for up to five devices. Plus adds modDNS and Mailx, while Pro Suite adds Portmaster Pro and raises the VPN device limit to ten.

Prices and included features are those IVPN lists on its pricing page; they are provider-published terms, not independently verified checkout results. IVPN advertises a 30-day refund window and lists credit card, PayPal, Bitcoin, Bitcoin Lightning, Monero, and cash as payment methods.

- Mailx: email aliases and forwarding.
- modDNS: DNS filtering with configurable rules.
- Portmaster Pro: application-level connection visibility and controls; IVPN lists it for Linux and Windows.
These additions matter if you will use them. If you only need a VPN, Standard is the least expensive tier; Plus and Pro Suite cost more for services beyond VPN access.

What are IVPN’s apps, protocols, and features?
IVPN lists open-source clients for iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, and Linux, plus a configuration generator for custom setups. Its service overview says the apps support WireGuard and OpenVPN, with IKEv2/IPSec on iOS. IVPN’s help page says it does not support PPTP or L2TP/IPSec.
Features IVPN describes include automatic key rotation, perfect forward secrecy, quantum-resistant WireGuard, DNS leak protection, a built-in firewall or killswitch, AntiTracker, Multi-hop, and V2Ray obfuscation. Availability and implementation can vary by operating system, so check the current app documentation for the platform you intend to use rather than assuming every feature appears everywhere. IVPN says split tunneling is available on Windows, Linux, and Android.
IVPN describes Multi-hop as routing traffic through servers in separate jurisdictions. AntiTracker blocks domains on a predefined list. Those descriptions do not establish a particular speed, blocking rate, or ability to stop every tracker.

IVPN’s official Android app page currently says the app is temporarily unavailable on Google Play while existing installs continue to work. It lists APK, Accrescent, and F-Droid as distribution options. Because app-store availability can change, check the Android app page before installing.
Does IVPN keep logs?
IVPN says it does not retain VPN activity logs and does not require an email address to create an individual account. It also says its apps and website are open source and its VPN gateways are bare metal. These are provider statements about its practices and infrastructure, not a guarantee that a VPN can eliminate every form of data exposure.
IVPN’s Plus and Pro Suite services use what it calls “Unlinked Access” for Mailx, modDNS, and Portmaster. The company describes a cryptographic-token and hash-based verification flow intended to let those services authorize subscriptions without receiving or storing the IVPN account ID.

What the audit record establishes
In an announcement dated June 19, 2026, IVPN CEO Nick Pestell said the company had scheduled its eighth annual security audit with Cure53 for two weeks in July 2026. The announcement identifies cryptography, the privacy model, and Unlinked Access components as areas of focus. It establishes that an audit was scheduled; it does not establish that the work was completed or disclose findings.
That announcement also says IVPN’s last and only no-logs audit was conducted by Cure53 in March 2019. IVPN says it will not commission further no-logs audits, arguing that audits are time-limited snapshots. The scheduled 2026 audit should not be described as a no-logs audit. Can IVPN make you anonymous?
No. IVPN itself cautions that a VPN cannot make a user anonymous. A VPN encrypts traffic between your device and the VPN server, which can limit what your internet provider, a public Wi-Fi operator, or another network observer can see about that connection. It does not stop a service where you are logged in—such as a social network or search engine—from recognizing your account and profiling activity within its own service.

IVPN reports that it operates bare-metal VPN gateways in 58 locations across 41 countries in 2026. That is the provider’s stated footprint, not an independently measured count. A larger location list does not by itself establish faster connections or better access to any particular website.
Does IVPN work with streaming services?
IVPN says it does not guarantee streaming compatibility. No independent streaming tests are established here, so there is no sound basis for promising access to a named service. If streaming access is essential, check the service’s current terms and test the specific combination of service, device, and location before relying on IVPN for it.
Can you use IVPN on a router?
IVPN says router and NAS deployment is supported, but that does not mean every router is compatible. You need a device that supports VPN client configuration, and the setup depends on its model and firmware. Use IVPN’s router setup guide for the specific device and confirm its VPN-client support before purchasing or configuring it.

IVPN also says it does not offer port forwarding. If your use case depends on inbound connections to a forwarded port, that limitation may rule it out.
Is IVPN worth the price?
That depends on whether you value its privacy-oriented account model and will use the services bundled into the tier. Standard provides the VPN features for up to five devices; Plus adds alias email and filtered DNS; Pro Suite adds application-level connection controls and supports up to ten VPN devices. Compare the annual price with the services you actually need rather than treating the higher tier as a stronger VPN.
The available information supports a feature and policy assessment, not a performance verdict. It includes no independent IVPN speed measurements or streaming tests, and no hands-on device-compatibility results. Do not infer connection speed, reliability, or streaming success from the plan list, feature descriptions, or server footprint.
