Workday’s September 16, 2025 announcement describes Workday Build, its own developer platform, including Flowise Agent Builder, Developer Copilot, Agent Gateway and Data Cloud. TypeSafe’s product page describes Jev as a typed decision model for software workflows. Neither company source reviewed mentions the other company or documents Jev creating Workday interfaces.
What Workday actually announced
At Workday Rising on September 16, 2025, Workday introduced Workday Build as a developer platform for creating, sharing and scaling AI-powered enterprise solutions on Workday. The announcement lists several Workday products and programs:

- Flowise Agent Builder: a planned visual tool for building agents, with availability announced for customers with Workday Extend Professional in the first half of 2026.
- Developer Copilot and Agent Gateway: developer tools intended to help create and connect agents with Workday capabilities.
- Workday Data Cloud: announced for early adopters in the first half of 2026 and general availability later in 2026.
- Marketplace, partner programs and a developer community: channels for distributing and supporting solutions built on Workday.
Those dates were plans stated in a 2025 announcement, not confirmation that every feature is generally available now. Workday CTO Peter Bailis framed the strategy this way: “The era of one-size-fits-all enterprise software is over.” He said Workday Build would let customers create solutions directly on their people and financial data.

Workday’s accompanying blog post says Flowise Agent Builder uses technology from the Flowise open-source platform and provides a visual way to build and manage custom agents. It also discusses support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for Workday APIs, the Agent Partner Network and the Built on Workday marketplace. The post does not identify TypeSafe or Jev as a component.

What Jev is, according to TypeSafe
TypeSafe’s official Jev page calls Jev its first public “System One Model.” It presents Jev as an interface for software decisions:
- Software sends a structured question.
- Jev returns a typed decision, along with probabilities and confidence estimates.
- The calling application uses thresholds to decide whether to act autonomously, request human review or route the result into another coded workflow.
TypeSafe summarizes the concept as “Typed outputs that software can act on.” That description concerns decision outputs and workflow control. It does not describe a visual interface builder, a Workday connector or on-the-fly generation of Workday screens.

Can Jev build a user interface?
Jev could theoretically be used as a decision service inside an application that renders a user interface, but the available materials do not establish that it generates UI layouts, components or screens. A typed decision model and an agent or UI builder are different layers:
| Capability | What the cited material establishes |
|---|---|
| Decision classification | Jev returns typed decisions with probabilities and confidence, according to TypeSafe. |
| Workflow branching | TypeSafe says callers can set thresholds for autonomous action or human review. |
| Visual agent construction | Workday attributes this role to Flowise Agent Builder in Workday Build. |
| Workday UI generation by Jev | Not documented in the reviewed Workday or TypeSafe sources. |
Therefore, “Jev builds Workday user interfaces on the fly” should be treated as an unverified integration claim, not a current product capability.
How Workday Build and Jev differ
The products described in the sources address complementary but distinct problems. Workday Build is a platform and ecosystem for developing enterprise applications and agents around Workday data and APIs. Jev is presented as a typed decision component that another application could call. The sources do not support treating them as competing products or as an established combined stack.
What the performance numbers do—and do not—show
TypeSafe’s page, accessed October 13, 2026, presents vendor comparisons claiming its System One workflows are 193.6 times faster and 444.6 times cheaper. One example lists $0.000081 and 0.114 seconds for TypeSafe AI versus $0.013880 and 8.566 seconds for large language models. These are TypeSafe’s figures for the tasks and methodology described on its page; they are not independent benchmarks and should not be generalized to Workday workloads.

Workday’s blog reports that developers say its AI Developer Copilot makes them five times more productive, and cites a 50% increase in nurse retention associated with Extend apps at St. Luke’s University Health Network. It also reports two-times year-over-year growth in its developer community and more than 100 Built on Workday partners. These are company-presented claims, not evidence that Jev is integrated with Workday.

Independent evidence about typed decision models is still early. A September 26, 2026 preprint by Lijuan Tang and Yuemeng Zheng reports that reviewed studies had not demonstrated an independent general accuracy advantage for typed readouts over comparable label-probability readouts. Some workloads showed efficiency gains, but the authors describe the evidence as preliminary. See the preprint for the evaluation caveats.

What would confirm the claimed integration?
A reliable announcement would need to identify a named Workday–TypeSafe integration, supported APIs or an integration guide, and specify whether Jev supplies decisions while Workday renders the UI. It should also state availability, supported Workday editions, data handling, authentication and evaluation results on representative tasks. Until such documentation appears, readers should describe Jev as a separate typed decision product and Workday Build as Workday’s announced developer platform.
