How does the Fortune Wheel work?
According to Etermax’s Fortune Wheel support page, the result depends on where the wheel stops. Players may receive stars, coins, or a pet. Spins use tickets or coins, and both the cost and prizes vary with the multiplier.

Etermax says Prime subscribers receive a free spin every 10 minutes, while players on the free version can spin by watching an ad. The support page also says Mega rewards are available in exchange for real money. It does not explain precisely what that purchase buys, whether it changes or determines a random outcome, or whether any resulting reward has value outside the game.
Is the Fortune Wheel gambling?
It is reasonable to call the wheel gambling-like in the limited sense that it uses chance to award variable rewards and includes an optional paid reward path. But those facts alone do not establish that the player is staking money on an outcome in the ordinary casino sense. The official description does not show whether a paid Mega rewards transaction is a wager, whether prizes can be traded or transferred, or whether they can be redeemed for cash or other real-world value.

- Does the player pay to enter each random outcome? Etermax describes spins using tickets or coins and says Mega rewards cost real money, but does not explain the exact transaction or its relationship to a random spin.
- Does the prize have real-world monetary value? The support page names in-game rewards; it does not establish a real-world payout.
- Can the reward be traded, transferred, or cashed out? The reviewed official description does not say that it can.
- Does skill affect the outcome? Trivia Crack includes quiz questions, but the support description says the wheel’s reward depends on where it stops; it does not explain whether quiz performance affects that result.
- Has a regulator or court classified the feature as gambling? The materials cited here do not establish such a determination. Laws also depend on jurisdiction and the precise mechanics.
A 2025 UK Government evidence review discusses wheel-of-fortune games in the context of skins gambling, where users bet in-game items on wheel segments with different payout multipliers. That is a useful comparison for understanding why a randomized wheel can resemble gambling mechanics; it is not evidence that Trivia Crack has tradable skins, pays out money, or has been legally classified as gambling.

How do purchases and ads fit in?
The stores disclose ads and in-app purchases, including items such as coins, credits, and lives. Those purchases are a separate part of the game’s freemium model; buying an item does not, by itself, prove that a player is wagering on a random outcome.
Etermax also offers a one-time Trivia Crack Premium purchase described as removing ads and interruptions. That is a conventional ad-free upgrade, distinct from the Fortune Wheel’s chance-based rewards. The Premium support page describes the offer; purchase catalogs and prices vary by storefront and region.

Can you win real money in Trivia Crack?
The official materials reviewed here do not establish that players can win cash, redeem rewards for money, or cash out. Etermax says Mega rewards are available for real money, but that statement alone does not show that a player is paying to enter a wager or can receive real-world value in return. Treat claims that Trivia Crack pays out real money as unverified unless supported by current, specific terms for the feature and the relevant country.
What should parents and players check?
Before paying for a feature or letting a child use it, check what the purchase actually buys and whether it is recurring. The app-store rating is one piece of platform information, not a substitute for reviewing purchases and in-game prompts.
