No. The standard version of Fallout 3 has walking and running, but no separate sprint action. On PC, Left Shift is labeled “Run,” while Caps Lock is “Always Run.” If pressing Shift makes your character slower, you may have been in Walk mode already.
Run and sprint are different in Fallout 3
The PC manual’s “Run” control refers to the game’s ordinary faster movement mode, not a distinct sprint ability. Bethesda’s support guidance describes the two relevant states as Walk mode and normal Run mode; it does not identify a separate sprint control.

PC keyboard controls

These labels come from the Fallout 3 PC manual, published by Bethesda Softworks. Bethesda Support explains that a keyboard player stuck in Walk mode needs to press Shift to move at normal speed; Caps Lock should switch the character back to normally running. In Bethesda’s words: “You will be stuck in Walk mode and need to press [Shift] to move at normal speed. Why does pressing Shift make me walk?
Shift is the Run control, but it can seem to slow you down if Walk mode was active: pressing it restores normal speed rather than making an already-running character sprint. If movement feels unusually slow, try Caps Lock to toggle Always Run. This is the keyboard guidance Bethesda provides; it does not establish separate sprint behavior.

What about consoles?
Controller instructions depend on platform and configuration. Bethesda’s Xbox 360 support note says stick arrangement is controlled through Xbox profile options, not a Fallout 3 in-game setting. The available sources here do not establish exact default movement buttons for PlayStation 3 or other controller setups, so check the manual for your specific platform rather than relying on PC keyboard labels.
