What the current introductory offer includes
U.S. Bank’s product page, accessed October 8, 2026, lists a 0% introductory APR on purchases for the first 21 billing cycles. The same introductory rate applies to balance transfers made within 60 days of account opening, for the first 21 billing cycles. Cash advances are excluded.

Billing cycles are not a guaranteed number of calendar months: their length and timing depend on the account’s billing schedule. Check the dates and terms in your application disclosures, and plan around the end of the promotional period rather than assuming it lasts exactly 21 months.
Balance transfers have an upfront cost
The balance-transfer fee is 5% of each transfer, with a $5 minimum. For example, a $1,000 transfer would incur a $50 fee. Transfers from another U.S. Bank National Association account are not permitted, and a transfer must be made within the 60-day window to qualify for the introductory APR.

Compare the fee with the interest you expect to avoid, and make a payoff plan for the promotional period. The card’s 0% offer does not erase the transferred balance or the transfer fee.
What happens after the introductory APR ends?
After the introductory period, the APR is variable. The U.S. Bank product-page text retrieved on October 8, 2026, leaves the APR figure blank, so a numeric rate cannot be confirmed from that page. Check the live application disclosures for the rate that applies to your account before deciding whether you can manage any balance that remains after the offer.

How useful are the ongoing benefits?
The card has no annual fee, but its advertised rewards and protections have specific conditions. They are secondary perks rather than broad everyday cash-back earning.

Travel cash back is tied to the booking channel
The 4% rate is not a general travel category: it applies to eligible prepaid air, car, and hotel reservations booked through the issuer’s Travel Center. Ordinary travel spending or bookings made elsewhere are not covered by the description of this offer.

The credit and protection require action
The $20 statement credit depends on making purchases in each of 11 consecutive calendar months and keeping the account in good standing. Phone protection likewise depends on routing the monthly cellular bill to the card; review the Guide to Benefits for the full coverage and claims terms before relying on it.
ExtendPay is also conditional, not a guaranteed installment option for every purchase or cardholder. The issuer determines eligibility monthly, and only eligible purchase balances qualify.

Who may find the card a fit?
It may suit a planned payoff
The long introductory window can be useful if you need time to pay down qualifying transferred debt or finance a planned purchase, and you have a realistic schedule for clearing the balance before the promotion ends. For a transfer, first account for the fee and verify that the debt is eligible.

It may be less compelling for everyday rewards
If your priority is cash back on routine spending or flexible rewards across travel booked anywhere, the benefits described here are narrow. The no-annual-fee structure avoids a recurring card fee, but the travel rate, statement credit, and protections each come with requirements.
