Is the TP-Link Deco 7 BE25 3-Pack Worth It? Coverage, Features and Price Context

TP-Link rates the Deco BE25 three-pack for up to 6,600 square feet. Learn what its dual-band Wi-Fi 7, 2.5 Gbps ports and missing 6 GHz mean before buying.
Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The TP-Link Deco 7 BE25 is a dual-band Wi-Fi 7 mesh system with a manufacturer-rated coverage of up to 6,600 square feet for the three-pack. It may suit buyers who want several mesh nodes and 2.5 Gbps ports without moving to a tri-band system, but it has no 6 GHz band. The advertised $149.99 starting price is not verified by the available pricing evidence, so check the exact pack, seller, stock and current price on Amazon before buying.

What does the Deco BE25 cost?

There is no verified current price here for the exact three-pack, so treat $149.99 as unconfirmed rather than a live offer. Historical deal reports provide context, not a current quote: TechRadar reported $179.99, reduced from $249.99, on July 8, 2026, and $208.73, reduced from $299.99, on September 21, 2026. Those reports do not establish today’s price or which pack is currently available.

Before checkout, confirm that the listing is for the three-pack, and check the seller, stock and total price. Pack size matters: the advertised coverage figure of 6,600 square feet applies to three units, not a single router.

What coverage and Wi-Fi speeds does it offer?

TP-Link rates the three-pack for up to 6,600 square feet and one unit for up to 2,600 square feet on its US product page, accessed October 7, 2026. These are manufacturer maximum-coverage claims, not guarantees for a particular home. Floor plan, wall materials, node placement, interference and connected devices can all affect coverage.

TP-Link lists theoretical rates of 4,324 Mbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. These are Wi-Fi link-rate figures, not a promise that a device will reach those speeds for internet downloads. Your internet plan, client hardware, distance from a node and network conditions influence real-world results.

Does the Deco BE25 have 6 GHz?

No. The BE25 is dual-band, using 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz; it does not include a 6 GHz band. That is its central trade-off against tri-band mesh systems, particularly for buyers who specifically want 6 GHz or are comparing Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 systems that use that band. RTINGS also identifies the missing 6 GHz band as a limitation.

Wi-Fi 7 branding alone does not mean every connected device can use every Wi-Fi 7 capability. TP-Link says compatible clients are required for corresponding features, including MLO and other listed Wi-Fi 7 features. Older devices can still connect, but they cannot use features they do not support.

What ports and backhaul options are included?

TP-Link’s 2024 BE25 datasheet lists two 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN ports per unit. The ports can be configured for WAN or LAN. Making use of multi-gig internet service requires compatible service, modem or other network equipment, and cabling.

The system supports Ethernet backhaul, so nodes can communicate over a wired connection when running cable between them is practical. A wireless mesh setup remains an option; an Ethernet cable is not required to use the system.

How does it perform for everyday use?

RTINGS describes the BE25 as a small dual-band Wi-Fi 7 mesh router and reports strong everyday speeds for tasks such as large downloads and concurrent 4K streaming. Its latency assessment is adequate for browsing, video calls and casual gaming, while competitive gaming over Wi-Fi is a weaker fit. For the lowest and most stable latency, RTINGS recommends a direct Ethernet connection to the main router.

RTINGS tested a two-pack, not a three-pack, and its review page records updates through June 22, 2026. Its performance observations should not be read as measurements of a three-node kit or as a guarantee for a particular home.

Is the BE25 a good fit for your home?

Consider it if

  • You want a multi-node mesh kit and the three-pack’s manufacturer-rated maximum coverage is relevant to your layout.
  • You value two 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN ports on each unit or may use Ethernet backhaul.
  • You do not need a 6 GHz band and have compatible devices for the Wi-Fi 7 features you expect to use.

Compare alternatives if

  • You specifically want tri-band operation or 6 GHz.
  • You need the most stable gaming latency and can connect your gaming device to the main router by Ethernet.
  • Advanced parental controls or security features are important: RTINGS notes that advanced parental controls are subscription-gated, and TP-Link’s datasheet says advanced HomeShield features require a paid subscription.

The BE25 is most compelling when a three-node mesh and its wired-port options matter more than having 6 GHz. Whether it is a bargain depends on the verified price for the exact pack, not the unconfirmed $149.99 headline figure.
