Restory is a photo-restoration app created by Pau Pidelaserra. Its owner says it launched on Apple’s App Store in February 2026 and offers face restoration, colorization, scratch removal, image enhancement, generative fill and portrait animation. Is Restory available for Android in 2026?
No Android launch date or official Android listing for the photo app was confirmed in the reviewed material. This is a bounded status check, not proof that no announcement has appeared since. Treat Android availability as unconfirmed unless Restory publishes a dated announcement or a matching official Google Play listing appears. The surfaced Apple App Store listing is for the iOS version.
Why search results may be confusing
Restory, the photo app, is not the same product as ReStory: Chill Electronics Repairs, a PC and Mac game. The game’s publisher announced on July 23, 2026 that it would release on August 6, 2026; those dates concern the game, not the photo app. The game’s release announcement is about the separate title.

A separate page about the game reported on August 19, 2026 that no native Android or iOS game release had been announced. Playing a PC game through streaming on a phone is not the same as installing a native Android app, and neither fact establishes the photo app’s plans. The report concerns the game only.
What Restory does—and what restoration can promise
Restory says an image is sent to its cloud infrastructure for processing and returned to the device, usually in under 30 seconds. Its founder says photos are processed in memory and deleted within 24 hours, and that user photos are not used to train models without explicit consent. Restoration is not necessarily a recovery of the original image’s exact details. Pidelaserra describes it as “AI restoration is plausible reconstruction, not perfect reproduction.” That distinction matters: AI can generate plausible detail where an old or damaged photo has lost information, but the result may not reproduce what was actually in the original.

- Check Restory’s own website or official announcement channels for a dated statement naming Android availability.
- Search Google Play for a listing that clearly identifies the Restory photo-restoration app and its publisher. A similarly named game or unrelated app is not confirmation.
- Before installing, compare the listing’s developer identity and features with Restory’s own description. Do not infer an Android release date, feature parity or pricing from the iOS version.
