Panasonic lists continuous steam at 30 g/min and a vertical steam shot at 75 g/min. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements. Panasonic New Zealand’s NI-W810CSNSJ specifications also list auto shutoff, anti-drip, an Anti Calcium System (Calc Cut), self-cleaning, spray and jet-of-steam functions.

Panasonic Australia’s archive also identifies the model as a 360° Quick iron. Australian retailer records add a 1.8 m cord and 74 steam vents, and list 2200 W. Those details are retailer-reported rather than confirmed on the New Zealand specification page, so check the product label and regional documentation for the unit being considered. What is the 360° soleplate meant to do?
Panasonic and retailers describe a curved, double-point or elliptical soleplate intended to glide in more than one direction and reach around buttons, collars and cuffs. That gives the design a practical rationale for navigating garment details. It does not, by itself, prove faster ironing, better results on every fabric or a measurable advantage over another iron.

The NI-W810CSNSJ’s advertised features therefore answer what the design is intended to do, not how it will perform in a particular household. Fabric condition, ironing technique and the garment’s care instructions still matter.
Is the cord long enough, and is the tank practical?
Australian retailer specifications state a 1.8 m cord and 200 ml tank; Panasonic New Zealand states the tank as 200 cc, an equivalent volume. Some individual customer reviews describe the cord as short. Whether it reaches comfortably depends on the distance between the outlet and ironing board, so consider that layout rather than treating the review comments as a universal verdict.

A 200 cc reservoir gives you a defined capacity, but the available specifications do not establish how many garments it will handle before refilling; that depends on steam use and the work involved. Retail listing details are available from Winning Appliances.
Does it drip, and can it steam curtains vertically?
Panasonic lists anti-drip and a 75 g/min vertical steam shot for the NI-W810CSNSJ. The vertical-shot figure is a manufacturer specification, not a guarantee that every fabric or curtain will release wrinkles or that the iron will never leak. Panasonic does not establish a universal no-drip result in the cited product details.

Owner feedback is mixed: the small, self-selected samples found include positive comments about ease of use, glide and crisp results, as well as individual reports of leaks or a unit failing. Those anecdotes cannot establish a failure rate, product lifespan or the likelihood that a particular unit will drip. Is the NI-W810CSNSJ the same as the NI-W810CS?
No. The suffix identifies a regional product record, and the power figures should not be merged. Panasonic New Zealand lists the NI-W810CSNSJ at 1850–2200 W; Panasonic’s US listing identifies the related NI-W810CS at 1500 W. Panasonic North America also records the NI-W810 family as a 1500 W corded steam/dry iron. The New Zealand specification, the US NI-W810CS product page and the North American support record refer to different regional listings.

The US page describes features including five temperature settings, a ceramic-coated dual-tip soleplate, power shot, micro spray and automatic shutoff timing that varies by iron position. Do not assume those particulars apply to the NI-W810CSNSJ; confirm functions and electrical compatibility from the exact regional unit’s label and manual. Marketplace listings can be time-sensitive, and one Australian retailer record says the model is no longer available, so verify current stock and exact suffix before buying.
How should you clean and store it?
Panasonic’s NI-W810-family care guidance says to unplug the iron, empty it after use, set the Steam/Dry selector to Dry, allow it to cool and store it on its heel rest. For self-cleaning, Panasonic instructs users to fill the tank sufficiently, heat the iron at Linen, unplug it, then hold it over a sink and pump the steam-clean button. The exact procedure may vary by regional manual, so use the instructions supplied with the NI-W810CSNSJ you own.

Panasonic cautions against harsh cleaners, metallic pads and steam-iron cleaners in the appliance. Its NI-W810 support page provides manual and troubleshooting pathways. If steam is weak or absent, water is brown or leaking, or the iron has a power problem, consult the manual for the exact model rather than assuming a generic remedy applies.
Who is this iron best suited to?
- Consider it if you want a ceramic-soleplate steam iron with multidirectional design, a vertical steam-shot specification and built-in anti-drip and self-cleaning features.
- Check your setup first if the outlet is far from the ironing board: the retailer-listed 1.8 m cord may or may not reach comfortably.
- Verify the exact unit if shopping across regions or through a marketplace. NI-W810CSNSJ and NI-W810CS are related names, not interchangeable specifications.
