One official product page gives a different load figure: 25 kg / 55 lb maximum load. That label is not the same as the US listing’s 22 kg / 49 lb maximum seat capacity. Treat them as distinct specifications rather than interchangeable limits, and follow the manual and market-specific product information for your stroller.

Is it suitable for a newborn?
Mountain Buggy describes the Cosmopolitan as a newborn-to-toddler stroller, with rear-facing, forward-facing, and lie-flat seat configurations. That establishes the manufacturer’s intended configurations; it is not an independent assessment of newborn safety or comfort. Use the configuration and restraints exactly as specified in the manual, and confirm whether the particular seat setup you plan to use is approved for your child’s age and needs.

Wheels, fold and everyday practicality
Mountain Buggy lists 12-inch air-filled rear tires, 8-inch puncture-proof front tires, all-round suspension, and a front wheel that can swivel or lock. The product page also describes an adjustable handlebar, hand brake, and one-hand stand fold. These are manufacturer-stated features, not findings from a comparative or hands-on test.

At 13.5 kg (30 lb), the listed weight may be a consideration if you often lift a stroller into a vehicle or carry it up stairs. The US listing gives folded dimensions both with wheels attached and with them removed, so compare the applicable set with your car’s usable boot opening and storage space. Dimensions alone cannot establish whether it will fit a particular vehicle; measure the space you actually use, including any obstruction from a raised boot lip or parcel shelf.
What the available evidence can—and cannot—tell you
Official specifications are useful for checking size, weight, configuration, and listed accessories. They do not establish how easy the Cosmopolitan is to fold in practice, how it steers on particular surfaces, whether it feels comfortable to a child, or how it performs over time. Nor do they provide a tested comparison with other strollers. Treat descriptions such as “all terrain” as the manufacturer’s positioning, not a verified comparative result.

If daily lifting, a specific car boot, or long-term durability is decisive, those questions need a real-world check beyond the published specifications.
