De’Longhi states that the BTU figure is tested at 35°C and 40% relative humidity, while the kW figure is tested at 35°C and 80% relative humidity under EN14511. These are rated specifications under stated conditions, not a guarantee that a particular room will reach a chosen temperature.

Does the PAC EL110 ERF WIFI need a window kit?
Yes. Portable air conditioners send the heat they remove from a room outdoors through an exhaust hose. De’Longhi says the supplied window kit is used to direct that exhaust outside. Before buying, check that the kit and hose can be fitted to your window and room layout; a workable outdoor vent route is essential to the intended setup. De’Longhi’s installation information

Is the PAC EL110 ERF WIFI noisy?
The published figures do not support a simple “quiet” verdict. De’Longhi’s Australian product page gives a sound-pressure range of 47–50 dB(A), while the technical service sheet lists up to 64 dB(A) as a maximum noise level. Because the measures are described differently, they cannot be read as a direct like-for-like comparison. Noise will also depend on the operating state and measurement conditions. Retailer comments on the exact model include differing impressions, but these are individual reports rather than controlled testing; the retailer says reviewers may have received incentives. How portable is it, and does it heat as well as cool?
At about 33 kg, the unit is portable in the sense that it can be moved on its castors, but it is substantial to lift or carry. Its dimensions are 750 × 450 × 410 mm. Consider the route between rooms, particularly stairs, before treating it as an easy-to-move appliance. What independent testing and owner feedback establish
CHOICE’s public page identifies the exact model and provides some specifications and accessory information. Its CHOICE Expert Rating, cooling score, energy-efficiency score, high-setting noise test, running costs, and recommended room size are members-only. Those results therefore cannot be used here to claim that the unit performs better or worse than competing portable air conditioners.

The Good Guys displays confirmed-purchase comments for the model, including positive reports about cooling and ease of use alongside mixed noise impressions. These comments are anecdotal and the retailer notes that reviewers may have received incentives, so they do not establish representative satisfaction or measured performance.
What to check before choosing it
- Room fit: Compare capacity figures only when their rating standards and test conditions are comparable. The published 2.9 kW rating alone does not establish a suitable room size.
- Vent route: Confirm the supplied window kit suits your window and that the hose can reach the outdoor opening without an impractical layout.
- Noise: Look for measurements taken using the same type of metric, operating state, and distance; sound-pressure and maximum noise figures are not automatically equivalent.
- Energy use: Compare consumption or energy results on an equivalent basis rather than relying on energy class alone.
- Heating need: Choose a cooling-only appliance only if separate heating is not required.
- Handling: Account for the roughly 33 kg weight if you expect to move it frequently or carry it between floors.
- Connected controls: The manufacturer lists app and voice control, but long-term app reliability is not established by the available public evidence.

The Australian product listing covers model PACEL110ERFWIFI. The technical sheet states 220–240 V, 50 Hz, and De’Longhi’s parts catalogue identifies a PAC EL110 ERF WIFI WH R290 (2023) version. Buyers outside Australia and New Zealand should verify the precise model suffix, voltage, plug, and warranty for their market rather than assuming similarly named variants are identical.
