The Breville The Quick Touch BMO735 is a 34 L, 1100 W turntable microwave whose standout feature is Sensor IQ cooking and reheating. Its advertised menus and shortcuts are useful on paper, but Breville marks the model discontinued, and the public evidence does not establish an independent cooking score. Consider it only after checking the exact unit, seller, condition, return terms, and price.
What the Breville BMO735 offers
The BMO735 is a countertop turntable microwave. A retailer-hosted specification sheet lists a 34 L capacity, 1100 W output, 230/240 V, and a 16 kg unit weight. It identifies Cranberry (BMO735CRN), Black Sesame (BMO735BKS), and Brushed Stainless Steel (BMO735BSS) versions. The specification sheet also lists a 12-month replacement guarantee and an RRP of AUD $379.95; those are details on the sheet, not confirmation of current warranty coverage or a current price for a discontinued microwave.

Dimensions vary slightly by source and measurement convention. Breville Australia gives 45.3 × 51.9 × 31.4 cm (W × D × H). The retailer sheet gives 314 × 519 × 453 mm (H × W × L), while CHOICE lists 31 × 52 × 46 cm (H × W × D) and a 30 cm turntable. Check the space available around the appliance as well as its listed outer dimensions when assessing fit.

Breville describes Sensor IQ as detecting humidity released from food and calculating cooking time and power. Its product page says it is intended “to heat without drying out your foods.” That is the manufacturer’s description, not an independently verified result; the available evidence does not show that sensor cooking consistently prevents drying or outperforms other microwaves.

The advertised functions include Smart Cook, Smart Reheat, Defrost, and Melt & Soften. A panel inside the door provides shortcuts for tasks such as melting chocolate, softening butter, and popping popcorn. The manufacturer and specification sheet also list adjustable power and time, a 30-second instant start, an adjustable favorite setting, A Bit More, and a child lock. These controls broaden the available presets, but the feature list alone does not establish how well each preset performs.
What independent and owner evidence can tell you
CHOICE lists the BMO735 and identifies it as a discontinued turntable microwave. Its public listing shows fields for expert rating and cooking scores, but the values are restricted to members. The public information therefore supports no numerical performance verdict, positive or negative.

Individual accounts describe a range of experiences, including praise for ease of use and features alongside complaints about particular functions, noise, or durability. They are anecdotes, not a reliability rate or representative measure of cooking results.

Availability and what to check before buying
Breville Australia labels the BMO735 discontinued, so do not assume it is available new through the manufacturer. A retailer product page exists, but its presence does not establish live stock or price. Any listing may be remaining stock or a used unit.

- Confirm the model and SKU. Match the listing and appliance label to BMO735 and, where applicable, the colour SKU: BMO735CRN, BMO735BKS, or BMO735BSS.
- Check condition and seller terms. Ask whether the unit is new, used, or open-box, and review return terms before purchase.
- Measure the installation space. Compare the appliance’s dimensions with your available counter space and allow for any clearances required by the manual. Consult the BMO735 instruction manual for operating and placement guidance.
- Verify the actual price and support options. Treat the specification sheet’s RRP as historical reference, not a live quote. Breville’s Australian support hub is a route to manuals, warranty and repair information, and parts; check directly for model-specific help.
Breville New Zealand’s BMO735 page says parts and accessories are available for the BMO735BSS. That is regional and SKU-specific information; it does not establish Australian availability or compatibility with every colour.

The BMO735 may suit someone who wants a relatively large-capacity turntable microwave and values sensor-led presets, shortcuts, and one-touch controls—and who finds a clearly identified, fairly priced unit with acceptable return terms. The evidence is not strong enough to buy it on the assumption that Sensor IQ has proven cooking advantages, or that owner reviews predict reliability.

If you are comparing it with a current microwave, weigh the sensor and auto-menu functions against capacity, turntable size, controls, verified cooking results, and availability. Evaluate any alternative separately; the evidence here does not provide a current like-for-like comparison.
