PCWorld contributor Florian Kastner says the Aimiuzi USB cooling pad made his laptop more comfortable to use during ordinary work, including Zoom calls—but his account is not a controlled cooling test. The article describes a lightweight, height-adjustable pad with five fans and useful desk features; it does not establish how well it handles gaming, rendering, or other sustained heavy workloads.
What the Aimiuzi cooling pad offers
PCWorld’s August 2026 article describes the Aimiuzi as a USB-powered laptop stand with five fans, adjustable height, LED lighting, a smartphone holder, and two USB-A ports. The article reports five angle positions, including a flat setting, and a weight of 1.3 pounds; those specifications are reported by PCWorld, not independently measured here.

The combination is aimed at more than airflow: the raised platform can change the laptop’s working angle, while the phone holder and extra USB-A ports add desk convenience. Whether the size and angles suit a particular laptop or workspace is not established by the article, so check the current product listing for compatibility before buying.

Kastner says the pad helped during everyday tasks such as ordinary work and Zoom calls, and he describes its sound as barely noticeable in ambient outdoor conditions. That is a personal impression, not a measured noise level or a guarantee that it will be quiet in a silent room.

The article does not provide temperature readings, fan-speed measurements, or a comparison against another cooling pad. Kastner explicitly notes that he did not run computing-intensive applications to fully stress-test it. His reported benefit therefore supports a modest conclusion: he found it useful for everyday laptop use, but the account does not prove a particular temperature drop or performance improvement under demanding workloads.
Power and cable details to check
The pad includes a USB-A-to-USB-A cable, which Kastner says he would have preferred to have as USB-A-to-USB-C. The article says it can draw power from a laptop, a power adapter, or a power bank. Running the fans from the laptop can affect battery life, particularly at higher fan use; an external source avoids relying on the laptop’s battery for the pad.
