For US users, Fitbit Premium—now called Google Health Premium—starts at $9.99 per month. Whether it is worth paying for depends on whether you will use its coaching, deeper insights and workout and mindfulness content: the free Base tier already includes core activity, sleep and health tracking with a compatible wearable.
What is Fitbit Premium called now?
Google renamed Fitbit Premium to Google Health Premium on May 19, 2026, and the Fitbit app is now the Google Health app. If you are looking up Fitbit Premium cost or features, these are the current names for the same service and app.

How much does Fitbit Premium cost?
Google Store’s US listing shows Google Health Premium “From $9.99.” Google’s US offer terms specify that an eligible trial renews for $9.99 per month when the trial ends. These figures support a US monthly starting and renewal price; they do not establish pricing for other countries, annual billing or every billing channel. Check the offer and renewal terms shown in your own app or checkout before subscribing.

That difference matters when deciding whether to pay: Premium is most useful if you expect to use its additional guidance and content, rather than simply track activity and sleep. A Fitbit comparison chart from before the 2026 rebrand described benefits including Daily Readiness Score, deeper sleep and stress breakdowns, extended health-metric trends, a wellness report and challenges. It also listed “200+ workouts” and “200+ mindfulness sessions.” Those figures and features are historical examples from that chart, not a guarantee of the current catalog; Fitbit says availability and content can change.
Is Fitbit Premium worth paying for?
Consider the recurring fee against what you would actually use. Premium may make sense if you want coaching, adaptive fitness plans, more detailed sleep interpretation or access to its workout and mindfulness library. If basic tracking already answers your needs, the Base tier may be enough.

- Long battery life: Google Fitbit Air’s battery lasts up to a week, and fast charging gets you one day of battery life in just five minutes[6,7]
- How often will you use it? Regular use of coaching, plans or sessions makes the added tier more relevant than an occasional visit.
- Do you want interpretation, or just tracking? The paid tier emphasizes deeper insights and guidance; Base already covers core tracking.
- Is a trial available to you? Check its duration and renewal terms for your account rather than assuming every user receives the same offer.
- What is the price where you live? The documented $9.99 figure is for the US. Confirm your local checkout price and billing terms.
This is a feature-and-usage decision, not a promise that the subscription will produce a particular health outcome.
Can you try it for free, and what happens when the trial ends?
Google Store offer terms describe a three-month Google Health Premium trial with an eligible device purchase, followed by renewal at $9.99 per month in the US. Eligibility, offer dates and compatible-device requirements apply, so the offer at your own checkout is the one to rely on.

Fitbit’s subscription terms say subscriptions renew automatically. A free trial converts to paid recurring billing unless you cancel before it ends; applicable fees are disclosed before trial-end billing. Cancellation generally takes effect at the end of the current subscription term, rather than immediately. If you do not want a trial to become a paid subscription, check the end date and set a reminder to cancel in time.

You need a compatible wearable to use the coaching features, but you do not need to buy a new one if you already own a compatible Fitbit or Pixel Watch. Google says existing compatible-device owners can subscribe through Google Store and activate the membership in the Google Health app. Charge 6 is among the compatible wearables listed by Google.
