Yes, conditionally. Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is worth considering on Nintendo Switch 2 if you want a single-player platforming adventure built around its paint-and-thinner gameplay, Disney settings, and nostalgia—and if the advertised visual and control additions appeal to you. The important caveat is that Nintendo and THQ Nordic list upgrades, but the available official information does not quantify them, and independent Switch 2 performance testing was not available at launch.
What kind of game is it?
Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is a remake of the 2010 game, developed by Purple Lamp in collaboration with Disney Games and published by THQ Nordic. Mickey is drawn into Wasteland, where he uses a magic brush to apply paint or thinner to the environment, changing areas and uncovering secrets. It is a single-player action/adventure platformer, with levels inspired by animated films and shorts, creative challenges, and virtual pins. The remake also adds dash, ground pound, and sprint abilities. THQ Nordic’s remake announcement and the Nintendo US listing describe the game and its features.

What does the Switch 2 edition add?
Nintendo and THQ Nordic advertise higher-resolution visuals, an improved frame rate, Joy-Con 2 mouse-style controls, and the Costume Pack DLC included with the Switch 2 edition. The listings do not specify resolution or frame-rate targets, or give a measured comparison against the original Switch version. These are advertised features, not proof of a particular image quality or level of performance in play. See the THQ Nordic launch announcement and Nintendo UK listing.

| Area | Switch 2 edition | Original Switch edition |
|---|---|---|
| Visuals and frame rate | Nintendo and THQ Nordic advertise higher resolution and an improved frame rate; no numerical targets or measured results are provided. | No comparable measured figures are established by the cited sources. |
| Controls | Advertised Joy-Con 2 mouse-style control option. | No equivalent mouse-style option is established by the cited sources. |
| Costume Pack | Included with the Switch 2 edition, according to Nintendo and THQ Nordic. | The cited sources do not establish whether it is included with the original Switch edition. |
If you already own the original edition, the published feature list gives reasons to consider the Switch 2 release, but it cannot tell you how noticeable the upgrades are or whether they justify buying the game again. If you are choosing between editions for a first playthrough, the Switch 2 listing offers the stated additions; decide whether those matter to you rather than assuming a particular performance gain.
Who is likely to enjoy it?
- Good fit: players who want a single-player platforming adventure, enjoy Disney characters and settings, or find the idea of reshaping environments with paint and thinner appealing.
- More uncertain: players whose decision depends on a specific resolution, frame rate, or demonstrated performance advantage over the original Switch version. The official feature descriptions do not answer those questions.
- Worth noting: mouse-style controls are an option advertised for Joy-Con 2; the listing does not establish that an additional controller purchase is required.
