No—not in the United States, as of August 18, 2026. Disney still lists a lower-priced Disney+ With Ads plan and a Disney+ Premium plan that is generally free of commercial interruptions for on-demand movies and series. Premium is not an absolute no-ad guarantee: Disney allows advertising in some live, linear, special-event and rights-restricted programming, along with limited promotional or sponsorship messages.
Is Disney+ converting every plan to an ad-supported tier?
There is no verified U.S. announcement that Disney has put commercials into every Disney+ tier. Disney’s current plan listings continue to distinguish between Disney+ With Ads and Disney+ Premium, described as No Ads subject to exceptions. See the official Disney+ pricing page and plan page.

Disney first announced advertising as an additional option in March 2022 and launched Disney+ With Ads in the U.S. on December 8, 2022. That history matters because a recycled headline about “Disney+ adding commercials” may refer to the 2022 launch, not an all-tier policy change. Read Disney’s original announcement and U.S. launch notice.
Current U.S. standalone prices
These are the prices shown on Disney’s U.S. pricing information, checked August 18, 2026. They are not worldwide prices; billing partners, promotions and regions can differ.

What “No Ads” covers—and what it does not
Disney’s Subscriber Agreement says ad-free tiers are generally free of commercial interruptions. The wording leaves specific exceptions:
Rank #2
- On-demand movies and series: Premium is generally commercial-free.
- Live and linear programming: Select live sports, news and other linear feeds may include ads on all plans.
- Special events and replays: Advertising can remain where the event or replay is supplied that way.
- Rights-restricted content: Licensing or streaming-rights requirements can require advertising.
- Promotional material: Disney may show limited clips or messages about bundles, upgrades or other Disney services.
- Branded and sponsored integrations: Product integrations or sponsorship messaging are permitted even on an ad-free tier.
Consequently, “Premium never shows an ad” is too broad. The accurate promise is largely commercial-free on-demand viewing, with the stated exceptions.

Why a Premium subscriber may still see commercials
You are watching live or linear content
Disney’s plan materials warn that select live and linear content can carry ads for every Disney+ plan. Live sports, news and special programming are the most obvious examples.

The title comes from Hulu
Eligible subscribers can see selected Hulu programming through Disney+. That does not make every Hulu title commercial-free: the Hulu tier attached to your account and the title’s rights determine its advertising. Additional Hulu content may still be available in the Hulu app. See Disney’s bundle information.
You are watching ESPN
ESPN programming, particularly live sports, normally includes commercial breaks. A bundle can provide Disney+ and Hulu without ordinary on-demand ads while leaving ESPN With Ads.
Rank #4
- Brand New in box. The product ships with all relevant accessories
The interruption is promotional messaging
A clip promoting another Disney service, an upgrade, a bundle or a sponsor can resemble a commercial without being a standard third-party ad break. Disney’s agreement expressly permits these categories.
The account has a different plan than expected
Bundle names can obscure each service’s tier. Open your Disney+ account or subscription information and read the exact plan name rather than relying on a general “Premium” or “bundle” label.

Bundles do not have one universal ad setting
Disney, Hulu and ESPN retain separate service tiers inside bundles. The following U.S. prices and combinations were listed by Disney; availability and labels can change.
| Bundle | Listed price | Service-level ad status |
|---|---|---|
| Disney+, Hulu Bundle | $12.99/month | Disney+ With Ads; Hulu With Ads |
| Disney+, Hulu Bundle Premium | $19.99/month | Disney+ No Ads; Hulu No Ads |
| Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Select Bundle Basic | $19.99/month | Disney+, Hulu and ESPN Select With Ads |
| Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Select Bundle Premium | $29.99/month | Disney+ and Hulu No Ads; ESPN Select With Ads |
| Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited Bundle Basic | $35.99/month | All three services with ads |
| Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited Bundle Premium | $44.99/month | Disney+ and Hulu No Ads; ESPN With Ads |
A Disney+ No Ads label therefore does not make Hulu With Ads or ESPN commercial-free. Live sports can also contain conventional breaks regardless of the bundle’s Disney+ designation.
How to investigate ads after upgrading
- Open Disney+ account or subscription information and verify the precise plan name.
- Identify whether the program is live, news, sports, linear, a special event or a replay.
- Check whether the title is supplied by Hulu or ESPN rather than the standalone Disney+ library.
- Review each service tier in your bundle individually.
- Confirm whether Disney, a carrier, an app store or another partner bills the account; partner terms and prices can differ.
- Record the program title and the time of the interruption before contacting Disney support.
Disney’s current account guidance is available in its bundle signup and subscription information.
What has—and has not—been confirmed
Disney’s official U.S. pricing, plan and legal pages continue to list a Premium/No Ads option. They do not verify a conversion of every tier to advertising as of August 18, 2026. That is a date-specific finding, not a promise that Disney will never change its plans. International markets follow different launch schedules, prices and policies; Disney announced expansion of ad-supported plans to Canada and parts of Europe in 2023.
