Can you keep playing after it leaves Game Pass?

Yes, the official site’s free wording is about a game update, not a free copy of the full game. In its December 12, 2025 update post, the team wrote: “The free game update is rolling out now across all platforms and regions, have fun!!” That update announcement does not say that the base game is free to download or keep.
