Bluey’s Happy Snaps is scheduled to launch on October 15, 2026, with an announced US standard price of $39.99. Its photo-taking, scrapbook-building adventure and local two-player option make it a plausible fit for families seeking gentle, shared play—but as of October 13, there is no post-launch review or playtime evidence to establish whether the finished game earns that price. The editions differ mainly in bonus content: digital extras, activity cards, stickers, or a printed activity book.

At the announced preorder price, digital Deluxe costs the same as digital Standard, but that offer ends before launch. The listed physical Standard and limited-time physical Deluxe prices are also the same, with Deluxe adding a sticker sheet. The Activity Book Edition is $10/€10 above the listed physical Standard price and includes the printed book and extra stickers. Gameloft says physical editions are sold through retailers around the world, but availability depends on the market. Gameloft’s release and preorder announcement has the edition details.
Which platforms can you play it on?
The announced global release date is October 15, 2026. Digital versions are listed for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, and PC. Gameloft says the game will be available on day one with Xbox Game Pass and supports Xbox Play Anywhere. Its announcement lists preorders on Xbox on PC and the Epic Games Store; Steam preorders were not yet available, though Gameloft says the same Deluxe-at-standard-price offer will apply when the Steam listing launches. Physical retail versions are announced for PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and Switch 2 in select markets. The official Bluey page also lists the release and physical platforms.

Nintendo Switch details
Nintendo’s US Switch listing says the Switch 2 version is compatible with behavior consistent with Nintendo Switch. Nintendo estimates a 3 GB download for Switch and 3.5 GB for Switch 2, and lists TV, tabletop, and handheld play. It cautions that the experience on Switch Lite may differ. What do you do in the game?
The official descriptions frame it as a photo-led adventure starring Bluey and Bingo. Players explore places inspired by the show and Brisbane—including New Farm Park, South Bank, and Mount Coot-tha—using Dad’s old camera to photograph games and wildlife. Snapshots go into a scrapbook that players can decorate with stickers. Show-inspired activities include Shadowlands and Magic Cauldron. Solo play and same-system co-op
Nintendo lists one to two players on one system. In its “Buddy mode,” a second player can join to explore and pose while the main player leads the adventure behind the camera. Nintendo says there is no online play and no in-game purchases; PlayStation likewise lists offline play and no online play or in-game purchases. These are local-play options, not online co-op. The listings are available from Nintendo and PlayStation.
Activities beyond the screen
The game includes prompts for off-screen activities such as birdwatching, playing with toys, and making games with household objects. These are publisher-described features and design intentions; they do not establish measured developmental outcomes.

Is it worth buying before reviews are available?
The announced features and editions make the decision clearer by household and format, but they cannot establish finished-game quality, how long the game takes to complete, or whether the gameplay stays engaging. The release is still two days away as of October 13, 2026, and the reviewed official pages provide no playtime figure or independent review consensus.
- Consider it if: a child or family member already enjoys Bluey, and a gentle exploration game built around taking pictures, collecting stickers, and making a scrapbook sounds appealing.
- Choose a physical edition if: the activity cards, stickers, or printed book matter to your household. The Standard physical copy has six cards; Deluxe adds a sticker sheet; the Activity Book Edition adds a 44-page book and two more sticker sheets.
- Choose digital Deluxe only after checking the price: its announced preorder price matches digital Standard, but the offer ends October 14, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. After that, Gameloft lists Deluxe at US$54.99 / €54.99 RRP.
- Wait for post-launch coverage if: value depends on game length, replayability, or how well the activities work in practice. Those points are not established by the available official descriptions.
Gameloft attributes a qualitative claim about autonomy, competence, and creativity to research led by Professor Daniel Johnson of Queensland University of Technology and the Digital Child, and says a review described the game as developmentally enriching. The announcement does not give detailed methods or a numeric result. Treat this as a publisher-reported claim, not independent or quantified evidence of developmental benefit.
