In ARC Raiders, quests are built from objectives, and completing either now grants XP as well as the rewards shown in-game. Skill points shape your Raider build, Reward Points advance the pass you have selected, and Expeditions are a separate, optional reset system. Frozen Trail 2.0, which went live on October 8, 2026, changed several of these systems and added 22 quests.
How quests and objectives fit together
A quest is a larger task or story step made up of objectives. Objectives can ask you to visit a location, find or deliver items, or fight enemies. Quests may be encountered in different sequences, but the ARC Raiders Wiki describes the main story as an interconnected chain.

After the October 8, 2026 Frozen Trail 2.0 update, completing quest objectives and completing quests grant XP. The XP is displayed alongside other listed rewards, and quest XP also appears when you claim a completed quest. Older advice that quests do not award XP predates this update.
The ARC Raiders Wiki currently lists 107 main-line quests. That is a community-maintained count, not a cumulative total published in Embark Studios’ October 2026 patch notes; those notes confirm that Frozen Trail 2.0 added 22 quests.

Photo objectives changed

How the Raider Skill Tree works
The Raider Skill Tree is where skill points turn into character-specialization choices. Frozen Trail 2.0 made some of those choices more consequential:

- Middle of a branch: each node presents two skills, and you can select only one. You can make the choice again by resetting the tree.
- End of a branch: each of the two end nodes presents three skills. You can select up to two after meeting the required skill-point investment.
Embark said further tuning may follow, so a build recommendation should be tied to a specific update rather than treated as permanently optimal.
How the Reward Pass and stash affect progression
Reward Pass
Reward Points replaced Cred as the way to advance a pass, and points go to the pass that is active. Frozen Trail is a 60-level pass with Free and Premium tracks. Existing Raider Decks moved to the Legacy Pass, and rewards already unlocked remain credited. Only one pass can be active at a time, so check your selection before earning progress if you are working toward a particular pass.

An Expedition is a separate, voluntary progression project that can reset character progress. Embark’s original Expedition Project article said the first major project becomes available at level 20 and described a distinction between character-bound progress that is lost and metagame or real-money-linked progress that persists. Those details come from the October 2025 design explanation; later Expedition rules changed, so it should not be treated as a current departure schedule or a complete statement of present rules.

Embark’s August 2026 announcement said the fifth Expedition ran from September 8 to September 29, 2026, and made quest reset opt-in for that departure. It also said Expeditions would pause until early 2027 while the studio worked on major changes. That window has passed, and the cited announcement does not give a new departure date.

Known quest issue in the October 8 notes
Embark’s Frozen Trail 2.0 notes said that “Picking up the Pieces” could not be completed on Pendola Pass at the time of publication, although it worked on other maps. The notes said a fix was planned for an upcoming update. Because the issue was reported on October 8 and may since have changed, check the current in-game behavior or newer official notes if you are blocked on that objective.
