Zombies offers a substantial co-op or solo mode
Round-based Zombies is one of the game’s core modes. TechRadar calls the first map a hit, pointing to its large scale and challenging main quest, and also says Survival and Dead Ops Arcade 4 are enjoyable. Progression carries across modes
Xbox Wire says actions in campaign, Endgame, multiplayer, and Zombies contribute to global XP. Weapon levels, camos, and Battle Pass progression are also available from co-op missions and Endgame runs. That gives players who move between modes a shared progression path; it is an official feature description, not an independent assessment of how rewarding the grind feels. Accessibility and controls offer useful adjustment
TechRadar reports options for subtitles and menu text, information colors and HUD, multiple control layouts, and controller or keyboard-and-mouse input. If a particular display or control setup matters to you, check the in-game options and platform-specific support rather than assuming every setting behaves identically across versions.
Is the Black Ops 7 campaign good?
The campaign is the clearest concern in the reviews consulted, but that does not make every player’s response identical. If the story is your main reason to buy, read the reviews with your own tolerance for uneven structure and an over-the-top presentation in mind. If multiplayer or Zombies is your priority, the campaign criticism may matter less.
Can you play Black Ops 7 solo or split-screen?
You can play the campaign solo, but solo does not mean offline: Activision says a continuous internet connection is required in every mode because the game uses texture streaming. This makes the game a poor fit if you need reliable offline access or have an unstable connection. Split-screen is supported on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, but not on older console generations. An additional compatible controller may be needed for another local player; the support information establishes split-screen availability, not that an extra controller is included with the game.

No. Physical editions do not work on Xbox Series S or a digital-only PS5. Activision’s support page lists the format and cross-generation limits below. Check the exact console model and edition before purchasing a disc.
