Find where the start sequence is failing
Open YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room for the broadcast you intend to start, then try starting IRL Pro and watch for an incoming signal. This check separates a problem sending the feed from one that occurs after YouTube receives it; it is a practical troubleshooting approach, not a documented definition of IRL Pro’s “starting” label.

- No incoming signal: Check IRL Pro’s destination details and stream key, whether the app is producing output, and the outbound connection.
- An incoming signal appears: The encoder has reached YouTube. Follow the status or error in Live Control Room and check the broadcast and account setup there.

YouTube’s advice for an error starting a third-party encoder is: “To fix it, get a new stream key in the Live Control Room and update your encoder.”

- In YouTube Studio, open Live Control Room for the intended broadcast.
- Copy a fresh stream key using YouTube’s controls.
- In IRL Pro, check that the selected destination is the correct YouTube stream and replace the old key if you are using key-based setup.
- Try starting the stream again and check Live Control Room for an incoming signal.
Keep the key private. Do not include it in screenshots, public support posts, or issue reports.

Check IRL Pro’s destination and encoder output
IRL Pro’s setup material describes entering a destination URL and key in the app. Confirm that its configured destination details—or account connection, if that is the setup method you chose—match the intended YouTube broadcast. Use the current instructions for your installed app version; the available documentation does not establish a current IRL Pro version number or one universal integration flow.

- While starting, inspect the app’s preview and any connection or encoder error it shows.
- If the preview or local output is unhealthy, address the app’s displayed problem first. YouTube also recommends checking encoder errors and CPU load, and using current encoder software.
- If the local output looks healthy but YouTube receives no signal, investigate the connection between the device and YouTube.
YouTube’s general guidance suggests trying another encoder if the output remains unhealthy. That can help isolate whether the problem is specific to IRL Pro, but it does not guarantee a fix.

Test the outbound connection
If IRL Pro appears to produce a healthy feed but Live Control Room does not receive it, retry on a stable internet connection. IRL Pro’s setup documentation describes broadcasting over a single connection. If practical, compare the same setup on Wi-Fi and your usual mobile connection; a difference can help distinguish a network issue from a destination or key problem. This comparison is a troubleshooting inference, not a required YouTube procedure.

YouTube advises testing outbound internet connectivity and contacting your internet provider if the test shows a connection problem. The reviewed guidance does not specify a minimum speed or bitrate that resolves this particular “starting” symptom, so changing bitrate alone is not a reliable diagnosis.
Check whether YouTube live streaming is enabled
If this is the account’s first live stream, check that live streaming is enabled. YouTube says first-time enablement may take up to 24 hours. That timing applies to first-time setup; it is not a general timeout for an established account whose stream is stuck starting.

Use these checks to narrow the cause
