If it is not, check IRL Pro’s current publish URL and key, protocol, output settings, and connection. If a signal is arriving, inspect the selected broadcast and its setup in YouTube Studio. The message alone does not identify one confirmed cause.
Start by checking whether YouTube receives a signal
- Open the intended broadcast in YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room.
- Start the stream from IRL Pro and check whether YouTube shows an incoming encoder signal or preview for that broadcast. YouTube’s encoder setup uses a server URL and stream key, and its workflow has you wait for the preview before going live. YouTube Help: Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
- Follow the matching branch below. No incoming signal points first to IRL Pro’s sending setup or connection; a signal arriving means you should also verify the selected broadcast and its YouTube-side state.
If YouTube shows no incoming signal
Refresh the destination URL and key
In the Enhanced IRL dashboard, copy the current publish URL and replace the saved destination in IRL Pro. Use the whole URL, not just a portion of it. Enhanced IRL documents that changing the key’s region or protocol, or rotating the key, invalidates the previous key; a saved URL can therefore become stale. Its guide describes IRL Pro reconnecting in a loop while the key remains at “No signal” in this situation. These details apply to Enhanced IRL’s own dashboard keys. Make the protocol match
Enhanced IRL says IRL Pro supports RTMP and SRT. Select the same protocol in IRL Pro that the key uses in the dashboard. For RTMP, the publish URL includes the key; for SRT, the key is carried inside streamid. Copy and use the complete current publish URL in either case. If you changed the key’s region or protocol, or rotated it, publish a fresh URL before trying again.
Check output limits and the mobile connection
Keep resolution, frame rate, and bitrate within the cap for the selected Enhanced IRL plan. Enhanced IRL recommends SRT for mobile broadcasts where packet loss while moving is a concern; if you are already using SRT, its guide recommends reducing bitrate. Those recommendations concern Enhanced IRL’s key service and plan limits, not a universal YouTube bitrate prescription. YouTube’s broader encoder troubleshooting also recommends checking the encoder version, the stream as displayed in the encoder, encoder CPU load, and outbound internet connectivity. If YouTube receives the feed
Confirm that the Live Control Room is showing the broadcast you intend to start, then inspect its status and setup there. Seeing an incoming feed means IRL Pro is sending a signal to YouTube; it does not by itself establish that the selected broadcast is in the live state you want. Follow YouTube’s encoder workflow and check the preview and broadcast controls for that specific event.
Check whether live streaming is enabled on the channel
If this is the first time the channel is enabling live streaming, YouTube says activation may take up to 24 hours. That timing applies to first-time enablement; it is not a universal wait time or explanation for every “broadcast is inactive” message. YouTube Help: Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.

When to replace the key—and when not to
YouTube’s instruction to get a new stream key in the Live Control Room and update the encoder is scoped to its documented third-party encoder start error. Use that remedy when the issue matches that error or when your current key is invalid or outdated; do not assume that every inactive-broadcast message requires key replacement. If YouTube still receives no signal after checking the current URL, matching protocol, output limits, and connection, Enhanced IRL asks users to contact dashboard Support or email [email protected]. Include your plan, encoder, protocol, and exact message. Also note the IRL Pro app version and the surrounding status text so support can distinguish this report from a different failure. Never include a secret stream key in a public screenshot or post.
