The iQOO Z9s Pro is a good fit for buyers who want a vivid 120Hz curved display, dependable everyday performance and long battery life. Independent 2024 reviews also found its main camera strongest in daylight. Its weaker points are selfie processing, preinstalled software and a shorter stated update commitment than some competitors. Whether it is worth buying depends heavily on the variant’s current India price.

| 8GB/256GB | ₹26,999 |
| 12GB/256GB | ₹28,999 |
The official vivo page captured for this article displayed ₹33,999 for the selected 12GB/256GB model and marked it unavailable. That is a dated listing snapshot, not a guarantee of today’s price or stock. Check the exact configuration and availability before buying. Pros and cons
Pros
- 120Hz AMOLED display with a curved design; 91mobiles praised outdoor visibility.
- Everyday performance and gaming were judged capable in 91mobiles’ review.
- Long battery life and fast charging in both publications’ tests, though their results use different methods.
- OIS-equipped main camera and generally strong daylight photos in the 91mobiles and Gadgets 360 reviews.
- IP64 rating and stereo speakers, according to the manufacturer.
Cons
- 91mobiles found that selfies smoothed facial detail and darkened skin tones.
- Both review publications criticized preinstalled apps or software cleanliness.
- The two-year OS and three-year security update commitment reported by 91mobiles is less generous than the Nothing Phone (2a) policy cited in that publication’s comparison.
- The glossy finish was described as slippery by 91mobiles; reviewer reports also differ on weight and finish, so handling can vary by color and unit.
- Launch pricing is not a reliable guide to current value; the official page snapshot for the top variant showed a higher price and no availability.
Display and design: a vivid screen, but curved edges are a preference
The 6.77-inch curved AMOLED is one of the phone’s clearest attractions. The manufacturer lists Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate up to 120Hz. 91mobiles also reports HDR10+ and calls outdoor visibility excellent. Both review pages list 4,500 nits peak brightness, but that figure is a peak specification, not an independently established sustained brightness level.
Handling assessments vary: 91mobiles describes its reviewed unit as 185g and slippery, while Gadgets 360 reports 190g. 91mobiles lists thicknesses of 7.49mm or 7.99mm by color variant; Gadgets 360 gives 7.49mm. Treat these as publication- and variant-specific measurements rather than a single universal figure. 91mobiles says its review unit included a transparent TPU case.

Performance: responsive for routine use, with review-specific benchmark results
The Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 platform is the manufacturer-listed chipset. 91mobiles says its reviewed 12GB model handled routine use and gaming well. In that publication’s 2024 testing, the phone scored 803,223 in AnTuTu and retained 62% of peak performance in its Burnout CPU throttle test.
Gadgets 360’s separate 2024 review recorded 1,136 single-core and 3,091 multi-core in Geekbench 6, 814,328 in AnTuTu v10, and 10,460 in PCMark Work 3.0. These are different review runs and test suites, not directly comparable measures or guaranteed results for every unit.
Cameras: daylight rear shots fare better than selfies
Main and ultrawide cameras
The manufacturer specifies a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with optical image stabilization and an 8MP ultrawide. 91mobiles found the main camera produced detailed daylight images with vivid color and good dynamic range. It also praised portrait detail and edge detection, while describing the background blur as unnatural. Gadgets 360 likewise found daylight images crisp with decent dynamic range.

Selfies are a more evident weakness in 91mobiles’ account: it reports smoothing of facial detail and darker skin tones compared with the OnePlus Nord CE4. If front-camera results matter more than rear-camera daylight photos, this is a reason to compare alternatives using current prices.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Battery and charging: strong results in two different review tests
The manufacturer lists a 5500mAh typical battery (5390mAh minimum) and 80W FlashCharge. Review results support endurance as a strength, but the test protocols differ, so the figures below should not be used to rank one publication’s result against the other.

| Gadgets 360, 2024 | 26 hours 42 minutes | HD battery loop |

91mobiles also reported 3% battery drain in its YouTube streaming test. That result belongs to its test conditions and should not be read as a universal drain rate.
Software and updates: the main trade-off for clean-software buyers
The manufacturer’s product page lists Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14. 91mobiles reports a commitment of two years of OS updates and three years of security updates, and counted 47 preinstalled apps in its comparison. Gadgets 360 also criticizes bloatware and considers the Android-upgrade promise subpar against competition. Neither the listing nor those launch-era reviews establish the phone’s current software version or update rollout status.
Recommended Free Tools
In 91mobiles’ comparison, the Nothing Phone (2a) was credited with a cleaner software experience and a three-year OS plus four-year security update term, compared with two years OS plus three years security for the iQOO and OnePlus Nord CE4. Those are comparison claims from that review, not a substitute for checking current support policies.
Verdict: should you buy the iQOO Z9s Pro?
Consider it if a high-refresh curved AMOLED, strong battery endurance and competent general performance are your priorities, and the current price for your preferred storage variant is competitive. The rear camera’s daylight performance adds to the case. Look elsewhere if you care most about natural-looking selfies, fewer preinstalled apps or a longer stated update commitment.
Use the 2024 launch prices only as historical context: a later official listing snapshot showed ₹33,999 for the selected top configuration and no stock. Compare live prices for the same storage tier before deciding; the phone’s strengths do not make it good value at every price.
