Which phone is better for performance and gaming?
The listed chipsets point to the Neo 10R as the stronger performance-oriented option: it uses a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, while 91mobiles lists a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 for the Redmi. Vivo also specifies a 144 Hz display for the Neo, versus 120 Hz for the Redmi in the third-party comparison. Those details make the Neo the more compelling choice on paper for demanding apps and gaming, but they do not establish benchmark scores, sustained gaming performance or frame rates.

Which has the better display?
The Redmi is listed with a marginally larger 6.83-inch display, compared with the Neo 10R’s 6.78-inch screen. The Neo’s stated 1.5K resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate are confirmed on Vivo’s product page; 91mobiles lists the Redmi at 120 Hz, while the Xiaomi store page reviewed does not confirm its display specifications. If refresh rate matters more to you, the Neo has the advantage in the available figures; if screen size is the priority, the Redmi is slightly larger.

Vivo specifies a 6400 mAh battery and 80 W charging for the Neo 10R. 91mobiles lists the Redmi at 9000 mAh and 67 W. That suggests a substantial capacity advantage for the Redmi, while the Neo has the higher listed charging wattage. Capacity alone cannot predict how long either phone lasts in your hands, and wattage alone does not establish actual charging time; usage, software and test conditions matter.

Camera specifications and what they do not tell you
Both phones are listed with 50 MP + 8 MP rear-camera setups. Vivo specifies a 32 MP front camera on the Neo 10R; 91mobiles lists 16 MP for the Redmi. The Redmi figures are third-party entries, not confirmed by the Xiaomi store listing. Megapixel counts do not establish photo or video quality, so these specifications alone are not a reliable basis for choosing between the cameras.
Which one should you buy?
- Choose the iQOO Neo 10R if you prioritize the stronger listed chipset, a higher refresh rate, or the lower displayed price—and can find your preferred configuration in stock at a suitable current price.
- Consider the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G if the listed larger screen and 9000 mAh battery are more important to you than the Neo’s chipset and refresh-rate advantages, and its live price fits your budget.
- Compare equivalent configurations at checkout. The cited official prices are for 8 GB + 128 GB, and the Neo configuration was out of stock on Vivo’s store when accessed. Vivo also lists the Neo 10R in 8 GB + 256 GB and 12 GB + 256 GB variants.
How reliable are the specifications?
Vivo’s India product page is the primary source for the Neo 10R’s specifications and Android 15-based Funtouch OS 15. Xiaomi’s India store listing confirms a Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G 8 GB + 128 GB configuration and its displayed price, but not a full spec sheet or launch date. The Redmi hardware figures and the comparison page’s release-date entries—March 11, 2025 for the Neo 10R and September 17, 2026 for the Redmi—come from 91mobiles and should be treated as third-party information. Consult Xiaomi’s model-specific documentation if manufacturer confirmation of Redmi specifications or launch details is essential.
