The iQOO 15R and Motorola Edge 70 Max share the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, but they prioritize different things. Motorola gives you a larger, sharper screen and Qi2 wireless charging; iQOO lists a higher-capacity battery, faster wired charging and more memory and storage options on its India product page. The right pick depends on which trade-off matters to you—and on the exact regional configuration you can buy.

Which display is better for you?
The Edge 70 Max is the larger-screen choice: its 6.82-inch panel has a resolution of 1440 × 3168 and refreshes at up to 144 Hz. That combination gives it the advantage on listed screen size and resolution, which may suit people who watch video or play games on a phone display.

Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteThe iQOO 15R has a more compact 6.59-inch AMOLED screen at 2750 × 1260. Its official India specifications state 130 Hz for normal scenes and a 360 Hz touch sampling rate for gaming. A 91mobiles comparison lists the iQOO screen as 144 Hz, but that conflicts with iQOO’s official 130 Hz normal-scene specification; the available pages do not explain the discrepancy. Use 130 Hz as the supported figure rather than treating 144 Hz as confirmed.

Battery and charging: capacity versus wireless convenience
iQOO lists a 7600 mAh typical battery and 100 W wired charging. Motorola lists a 7100 mAh silicon-carbon battery, 90 W wired charging and 25 W Qi2 wireless charging. On the published figures, iQOO has the higher battery capacity and wired-charging wattage, while Motorola is the option with wireless charging.
Those capacity and wattage figures do not establish how long either phone lasts in everyday use or how quickly it charges in every situation. 91mobiles reports PCMark battery results of 18 hours 23 minutes for iQOO and 16 hours 38 minutes for Motorola, but these are results from that comparison, not guaranteed real-world runtimes. The comparison does not provide enough test-protocol detail to apply those figures universally.

Performance, cameras and software support
Performance
Both manufacturers list the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, so the named processor is not a differentiator in this comparison. 91mobiles reports AnTuTu scores of 3,078,708 for the iQOO 15R and 2,972,932 for the Edge 70 Max. Treat these as figures reported by that comparison, not as a promise of the same score or a reliable prediction of everyday performance; its opened page does not provide enough protocol detail to generalize the results.
Cameras
Both phones list a 50 MP main rear camera, an 8 MP ultrawide camera and a 32 MP front camera. Motorola’s listed main camera includes optical image stabilization (OIS); the iQOO specification cited here does not list OIS. That hardware distinction does not, by itself, establish which phone takes better photos or video.

Software updates
Motorola lists Android 16 and says the Edge 70 Max can receive up to three years of OS updates, with security updates until July 2031. The 91mobiles comparison lists four years of OS updates and six years of security updates for iQOO, while the official iQOO product page cited here identifies OriginOS 6.0 but does not state those support durations. Confirm iQOO’s current update commitment with the seller or manufacturer for your specific region before buying.
Memory, storage and regional configurations
iQOO’s India product page lists 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB or 512 GB of storage. Motorola’s cited support page lists 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, but Motorola explicitly warns that specifications may vary by market. Check the precise local SKU and its price rather than assuming those listed configurations apply everywhere.

Price difference in India
When 91mobiles’ comparison page was accessed in 2026, it listed the iQOO 15R at ₹53,990 and the Motorola Edge 70 Max at ₹53,742 on Amazon India—a difference of ₹248, with Motorola lower in that snapshot. These are time-sensitive listed prices, not fixed launch prices or a guarantee of current availability. Check the live listing and make sure both prices refer to comparable configurations before deciding.
Which one should you buy?
- Choose the Motorola Edge 70 Max if you want the larger, higher-resolution display, Qi2 wireless charging or a listed main camera with OIS.
- Choose the iQOO 15R if you prefer the higher listed battery capacity, 100 W wired charging or the option of 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage on iQOO’s India page.
- Compare the exact listings if software support, memory configuration or price is decisive. The cited support information and configurations do not necessarily describe every regional SKU.
The two phones use the same named processor, so the better choice comes down to the features above and the specific version available to you—not a categorical winner based on the processor alone.
