A pre-release Geekbench 7 run gives the Apple iPhone Duo a score of 3,986 in single-core and 11,067 in multi-core. MacRumors reports that the sample used Apple’s 2nm A20 Pro, ran iOS 27.1 and reported 11.30GB of memory, generally interpreted as 12GB of RAM. Those numbers place the foldable in the same broad performance class as early iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max results, but they do not yet establish how fast it will remain during long, demanding workloads.
What the first iPhone Duo benchmark shows
The result comes from Geekbench 7 and identifies the handset as iPhone19,4. Its 3,986 single-core score indicates strong responsiveness for short tasks such as opening apps, running interface animations and processing individual operations. The 11,067 multi-core score is more relevant to workloads that use several CPU cores, including video exports, large photo operations, code compilation and other sustained multitasking.

Because this is one pre-release sample, it should be treated as an early indication rather than a final performance guarantee. Geekbench results can change with thermal conditions, software builds, background activity and device configuration.

- Process: Apple’s 2nm A20 Pro.
- CPU: six cores.
- GPU: seven cores.
- Reported frequency: 4.93GHz base frequency.
- Memory: 11.30GB reported by Geekbench, interpreted as 12GB of RAM.
- Test software: iOS 27.1 and Geekbench 7.
Apple says the A20 Pro delivers up to 20 percent faster CPU performance and up to 40 percent faster GPU performance than the A19 Pro. Those are Apple’s claims, and the Duo result does not include a GPU run, so it cannot independently verify the graphics increase.

How it compares with the iPhone 18 Pro generation
The cleanest comparison is with the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max because they use the same A20 Pro chip. MacRumors says the Duo score is broadly in line with multiple results from those models. Exact 18 Pro scores are not established in the available report, and benchmark variation means a single number should not be used as a ranking of every unit.
| Measure | iPhone Duo sample | iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max context |
|---|---|---|
| Geekbench 7 single-core | 3,986 | Broadly in line with multiple reported results; exact comparison score not stated |
| Geekbench 7 multi-core | 11,067 | Broadly in line with multiple reported results; exact comparison score not stated |
| Chip | A20 Pro | A20 Pro |

| Memory reported in Geekbench | 11.30GB, interpreted as 12GB RAM | Not stated |
Why the same chip may not deliver the same sustained speed
Matching silicon does not guarantee matching performance over time. The Duo is a two-screen foldable, so its internal thermal design, available cooling area and power limits can differ from those of a conventional slab phone. Two displays can also add power and heat, particularly when both panels are active or when demanding apps span the fold.

- This pre-owned product is not Apple certified, but has been professionally inspected, tested and cleaned by Amazon-qualified suppliers.
- There will be no visible cosmetic imperfections when held at an arm’s length.
- This product is eligible for a replacement or refund within 90 days of receipt if you are not satisfied.
- Product may come in generic Box.
For short bursts, the benchmark suggests performance in the expected A20 Pro range. Longer tests are needed to show whether the Duo holds its peak clocks or reduces them as temperatures rise. Sustained CPU performance, surface temperature, battery drain and behavior with both displays enabled will matter more to heavy users than the first-minute Geekbench result.
What this means for everyday use
Short, interactive tasks
The single-core score points to a fast feel in ordinary navigation, camera launches, messaging, web browsing and app switching, assuming the shipping software retains similar performance.

- 6.1inch Super Retina XDR display. Aluminum with color-infused glass back. Ring/Silent switch
- Dynamic Island. A magical way to interact with iPhone. A16 Bionic chip with 5-core GPU
- Advanced dual-camera system. 48MP Main | Ultra Wide. Super-high-resolution photos (24MP and 48MP). Next-generation portraits with Focus and Depth Control. 4X optical zoom range
- Emergency SOS via satellite. Crash Detection. Roadside Assistance via satellite
- Up to 26 hours video playback. USB C, Supports USB 2. Face ID
Multicore and creator workloads
The multi-core result suggests substantial headroom for tasks that can use all six CPU cores. It does not, by itself, predict export times, game frame rates or professional app performance. Those depend on software optimization, storage speed, cooling and whether the workload is CPU- or GPU-limited.
Gaming and graphics
The seven-core GPU is part of the reported configuration, but no GPU benchmark was included. Apple’s up-to-40-percent A19 Pro comparison therefore remains a vendor claim until independent graphics tests are available.

When pre-orders and launch are expected
Reports put iPhone Duo pre-orders on October 16, 2026, followed by a launch on October 23, 2026. These dates describe the reported schedule and do not establish regional availability, pricing, storage options or retailer stock. Buyers should confirm the date and local purchasing terms with Apple or their regional retailer before placing an order.

- Repeated Geekbench runs rather than one pre-release score.
- CPU throttling during 10- to 30-minute workloads.
- Heat with one display and with both displays active.
- Independent GPU and gaming tests.
- Battery endurance while using the unfolded screen.
- Whether iOS updates change benchmark or sustained performance.
For now, the evidence supports a straightforward conclusion: the iPhone Duo appears to have flagship-level A20 Pro performance in short CPU benchmarks, roughly matching the iPhone 18 Pro family. Its foldable design leaves sustained thermals, graphics performance and real-world endurance as the important unanswered questions.
