What the price difference does—and does not—tell you
Samsung’s US launch starting price for the S25 FE was $649.99 in 2025. Apple announced the iPhone 15 at a US starting price of $799 in 2023. The arithmetic difference is $149.01, with the iPhone 15 launch price higher; because the models launched two years apart, this is a historical launch-price comparison, not evidence that the S25 FE is currently $149.01 cheaper. A reliable current iPhone 15 price was not established here, so a current price gap cannot be stated. For a fair purchase comparison, check unlocked phones in the same market, at the same storage capacity and in the same condition; also compare seller and carrier-lock terms. A 128GB S25 FE price should not be compared with a higher-capacity iPhone, or with a used iPhone price presented as though it were new.
Which differences matter in daily use?
Screen size and refresh rate
The S25 FE’s 6.7-inch screen offers more display area than the standard iPhone 15’s 6.1-inch screen, and Samsung specifies refresh rates up to 120Hz. That makes the Galaxy the clearer fit on paper for someone prioritizing a larger, high-refresh display. The trade-off is physical size: the iPhone 15 is the smaller option. The specifications alone do not establish a broader comfort or usability winner.

Zoom cameras
The S25 FE has a separate 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Apple describes the iPhone 15’s 2x telephoto option as coming from its 48MP main camera. Those are different camera implementations; megapixel counts and zoom labels by themselves do not prove which phone produces better photos. The specifications do establish that Samsung includes a dedicated telephoto lens while Apple’s stated 2x option is derived from the main camera.

Battery and charging
Samsung lists 4,900mAh as the S25 FE’s typical battery capacity and up to 45W wired charging, with the required adapter and 5A cable sold separately. Apple’s cited iPhone 15 announcement does not provide a directly comparable capacity or charging-wattage figure. On this evidence, there is no sound basis for declaring which phone lasts longer or charges faster in real use.

Performance and software
The published processors are Apple’s A16 Bionic and Samsung’s Exynos 2400 (4nm). These model names and process figures are specifications, not independent benchmark results, so they do not settle which phone feels faster for a particular workload. The operating-system choice is more straightforward: the iPhone runs iOS, while the Galaxy uses Android with One UI. Consider the apps, services, accessories and data-transfer needs tied to the platform you already use.
