The Galaxy S24 5G has a slightly larger display, a newer listed processor, and a dedicated telephoto rear camera; the iPhone 14 offers a 512GB storage option and MagSafe charging. Neither is a clear value winner from the available price evidence: Samsung’s published U.S. prices are from September 2025, and no comparable current iPhone 14 price is established. The right choice depends on your preferred phone ecosystem and the live price for the same storage, condition, and seller.
iPhone 14 vs Galaxy S24 5G: key specifications
This comparison uses Apple’s iPhone 14 specifications and AT&T’s U.S. Galaxy S24 listing. Screen-size figures are close, but manufacturers can use different conventions for measuring display area. Regional versions may also differ.

Specification sources: Apple’s iPhone 14 technical specifications and AT&T’s U.S. device comparison. Apple describes the screen as 6.1 inches diagonally; its standard-rectangle measurement is 6.06 inches, so those figures reflect different measurement conventions rather than conflicting specifications.

Display size is nearly the same
The listed diagonal sizes differ by just 0.1 inch. Apple publishes the iPhone 14’s resolution and pixel density; the AT&T comparison cited here does not provide a matching Galaxy S24 resolution figure, so this comparison does not infer which screen is sharper.
#1 Best Overall
- This phone is unlocked and compatible with any carrier of choice on GSM and CDMA networks (e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro, Tracfone, Mint Mobile, etc.).
- Please check with your carrier to verify compatibility.
- The device does not come with headphones or a SIM card. It does include a generic (Mfi certified) charging cable.
- Tested for battery health and guaranteed to have a minimum battery capacity of 80%.
The Galaxy S24 adds a telephoto camera
The S24’s listed rear-camera arrangement includes a dedicated 10MP telephoto camera, while the iPhone 14 has a main and an ultrawide camera. That is a hardware difference, not proof that one phone takes better photos. Megapixel counts alone do not establish image quality, and the listed specifications are not a matched camera test.
Storage may decide the fit
The iPhone 14 is listed in a 512GB configuration as well as 128GB and 256GB. AT&T lists the S24 in 128GB and 256GB. Check the exact configuration on the seller’s listing, particularly for used or refurbished phones.
Rank #2
- Vibrant 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display with OLED technology. Action mode for smooth, steady, handheld videos.
SIM support matters when switching carriers
The U.S. iPhone 14 model described by Apple supports eSIM and has no physical SIM tray; AT&T lists a physical nano-SIM for the Galaxy S24. Before purchasing, confirm that the particular regional model supports your carrier and preferred SIM setup. SIM arrangements and cellular bands can vary by market.
Battery and durability figures are not direct comparisons
Apple states up to 20 hours of video playback for the iPhone 14 under its test conditions. This is a manufacturer figure, not a head-to-head battery-life result. Apple also specifies IP68 under IEC 60529, with a maximum depth of 6 meters for up to 30 minutes. The cited sources do not establish an equivalent Galaxy S24 rating here, so these facts do not support a comparative durability verdict.
Rank #3
- Vibrant 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display with OLED technology. Action mode for smooth, steady, handheld videos.
Price difference: what the available figures show
Samsung’s U.S. MSRP list effective September 2025 gives the unlocked Galaxy S24 a list price of $699.99 for 128GB and $759.99 for 256GB. Samsung notes that prices may change without notice. These are dated list prices, not verified current offers. No like-for-like current iPhone 14 price is established here, so a present-day price gap or cheaper-phone verdict would be unreliable.
AT&T’s comparison page marked both phones no longer available through its store at the time represented by the cited listing. That does not establish availability from other sellers. When comparing live offers, match these details:
Rank #4
- Vibrant 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display with OLED technology. Action mode for smooth, steady, handheld videos.
- Storage capacity: compare 128GB with 128GB, or 256GB with 256GB.
- Condition: new, refurbished, and used prices are not equivalent.
- Carrier status: compare unlocked with unlocked, or the same carrier-locked terms.
- Seller and coverage: check who sells the phone and what warranty is included.
- Price date: promotions and inventory can change, so use the listing’s current price rather than a historical MSRP.

Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the iPhone 14 if you prefer Apple’s ecosystem, want MagSafe support, or need the listed 512GB storage option.
- Choose the Galaxy S24 5G if you prefer Samsung’s Android ecosystem or want a dedicated telephoto camera in the listed rear-camera setup.
- Compare current offers before deciding on value. The available historical S24 MSRP and lack of a comparable current iPhone 14 price do not establish a universal price winner.
These are hardware and listing distinctions, not the results of matched performance, camera, battery, or durability testing. The cited processor names do not by themselves establish a speed advantage.
