What is the difference between iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 15 Plus?
Display: same size, different interface and brightness specifications
Both phones use a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR display, so the 15 Plus is not a larger-screen upgrade. Its Dynamic Island replaces the 14 Plus’s notch-style front display area with an interactive interface for supported alerts and activities. Resolution is slightly higher on the newer model—2796 × 1290 at 460 ppi, compared with 2778 × 1284 at 458 ppi—though both have the same nominal screen size.

Apple Germany lists typical brightness of 1,000 nits and HDR peak brightness of 1,600 nits for the 15 Plus, against 800 nits typical and 1,200 nits HDR peak for the 14 Plus. It lists 2,000 nits peak outdoor brightness for the 15 Plus and no corresponding outdoor peak figure for the 14 Plus. An unlisted figure is not evidence that the older phone cannot be used outdoors. Performance: one chip generation newer
The iPhone 14 Plus uses A15 Bionic, while the iPhone 15 Plus uses A16 Bionic. That is a chip-generation change, but these specifications alone do not establish a particular speed gain in everyday use, games, or apps; no directly comparable benchmark results are available here.
Camera: the 15 Plus has a higher-resolution main camera
The 14 Plus has 12MP main and ultra-wide rear cameras. The 15 Plus pairs a 48MP main camera with a 12MP ultra-wide camera. Apple describes a 2x telephoto option from the newer camera system; it is not a separate, dedicated telephoto lens. The megapixel difference is a hardware specification, not by itself proof of how photos compare in every lighting condition or use case.

Connector: Lightning versus USB-C
The 14 Plus uses Lightning and the 15 Plus uses USB-C. If you already own accessories and cables, this ecosystem change may matter more day to day than the small resolution difference. Check the cable and adapter details for the exact phone listing: included accessories can vary, and the connector type does not guarantee a particular wall adapter is included.

For the US launch-price comparison, the difference was $0: Apple announced both Plus models at $899 for their entry configuration. - Consider the iPhone 14 Plus if you want the same 6.7-inch format and it is substantially less expensive in a verified listing with acceptable condition and warranty.
- Do not decide on battery life alone: Apple publishes the same up-to-26-hour video-playback maximum for both.
