IONOS Deploy Now is a GitHub-centered deployment service for static sites, single-page applications, and PHP projects. It can build and deploy from a connected repository when code is pushed, with preview URLs for branches. It is a plausible fit if your project works within those formats and you are comfortable with GitHub Actions; it is not suitable for Node.js server-side rendering. The pricing and limits below are a snapshot of the US product page accessed October 7, 2026, not a guarantee of current or renewal rates.
What Deploy Now does
IONOS describes a workflow in which you connect a GitHub account and repository, then Deploy Now detects the project and sets up or configures a GitHub Actions workflow. Pushes to the repository trigger builds and deployments to IONOS infrastructure. Branches can receive preview URLs, and deployment settings can be edited in repository files. See IONOS’s Deploy Now product page and Deploy Now help documentation.

This makes Deploy Now a deployment layer for a GitHub-based workflow, rather than a general-purpose server where you can run any application stack. You need a GitHub account and enough familiarity with repositories and Actions to manage your project. IONOS documentation says repositories may be public or private and may belong to personal accounts or GitHub organizations. Its documentation also describes different workflow structures depending on when a project was created, so check the current guidance before relying on details of a particular workflow version: IONOS Deploy Now documentation.

IONOS says its GitHub app requests read access to Actions and metadata, and write access to administration, secrets, code, and workflows. Those are permissions stated by the service provider, not the result of an independent security audit. Before connecting a project, review the permissions displayed by GitHub and authorize only repositories you intend to use.

Which projects fit—and which do not
IONOS lists static websites, single-page applications, and PHP applications as supported categories. Its Help page names frameworks and tools including 11ty, Angular, Astro, Docusaurus, Ember, Gatsby, Gridsome, Hexo, Hugo, Ionic, Jekyll, Jigsaw, Laravel, Metalsmith, Middleman, MkDocs, Nanoc, Next.js, Nuxt.js, Pelican, React, Scully, Sculpin, Svelte, Symfony, UmiJS, VitePress, Vue, and VuePress. Framework detection alone does not mean every way of running that framework is supported; check the current IONOS supported-framework information for your configuration.
Static sites and single-page applications
These are the clearest fit when your build produces static files for hosting. IONOS describes static projects as serving HTML and CSS. A single-page app can work if it is delivered as static output; confirm any routing or build requirements against the current instructions for your framework.

PHP applications
IONOS says PHP projects can run PHP scripts and use MariaDB. The US plan snapshot below lists a PHP project and a 2 GB MariaDB database in the $7/month offer; confirm the current plan details and database requirements before committing.
Node.js server-side rendering
IONOS explicitly says, “Deploy Now does not support Node.JS server-side rendering.” This matters for frameworks such as Next.js and Nuxt.js: the framework name appearing on a detection list does not make its server-rendered runtime mode compatible. If your application requires Node.js to render pages on the server, choose a host that supports that runtime.

US price and capacity snapshot
The US product page displayed the following monthly offers when accessed October 7, 2026. These are page prices, not a promise of current checkout or renewal pricing; promotions, eligibility, billing terms, and taxes can change. Do not apply these prices to other countries. Check the current US product and checkout page for the offer that applies to your project.
| Displayed monthly price | Storage per deployment | Staging deployments | Project and database inclusion | Other listed features |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $0/month promotional display | 50 MB | 1 | Three starter projects | Georedundancy, DDoS protection, and log-based visitor stats |
| $2/month promotional display | 1 GB | 5 | Three starter projects; one static project | Georedundancy, DDoS protection, and log-based visitor stats |
| $7/month promotional display | 10 GB | 5 | Three starter projects; one PHP project and a 2 GB MariaDB database | Georedundancy, DDoS protection, and log-based visitor stats |
The same page showed prior prices of $4, $6, and $11 respectively and described a 30-day money-back guarantee; state and local taxes may apply. Treat the prior prices and guarantee as page statements, not a complete interpretation of renewal terms or eligibility. IONOS’s workflow page separately describes the first three projects as free starter projects, each with SSL-secure production deployment, one staging deployment with a preview URL, and 50 MB storage per deployment. Because the offer descriptions differ, verify what your account and chosen plan actually include before relying on the starter-project terms: IONOS plan page and IONOS workflow information.

Operational trade-offs to weigh
IONOS’s own comparison information lists SSL, DDoS protection, georedundant storage, SiteAnalytics, GitHub workflows, staging, and continuous deployment as available. The same comparison says Deploy Now has no CDN option, uses GitHub version control for backup, supports MariaDB but not MySQL, and does not include SFTP access, Webspace Explorer, Site Scan, or one-click installations. These are vendor-published product comparisons, not independent benchmarks; review the current Help page for details relevant to your deployment.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Choose it for the workflow if deploying from GitHub, automated builds, and branch previews match how your team works.
- Check capacity first if your output is large, you need more staging deployments, or your PHP application depends on a database or features beyond the listed plan limits.
- Look elsewhere if you require Node.js SSR, a CDN option, SFTP, MySQL, or server access not listed as part of Deploy Now.
- Plan for GitHub-side work if you need to customize Actions or debug build configuration; IONOS does not include general GitHub or website-implementation help in its listed support scope.
What IONOS support covers
IONOS says customers can contact support through the Deploy Now dashboard and receive an email response. Its listed scope includes questions about the Deploy Now interface, deploying an IONOS sample project, domain linking and SSL provisioning, and interactions with other IONOS services. General GitHub or GitHub Actions setup and general website implementation are outside the stated scope. The support description is not a guarantee that every technical issue will be resolved.

Are there independent user insights or performance results?
No independent Deploy Now-specific review sample or product-specific rating is established here, and there are no suitable independent performance statistics to cite. A TechRadar review dated January 9, 2026 covers IONOS hosting generally and mentions Deploy Now, but that is not evidence of hands-on use of Deploy Now or representative customer sentiment about this particular workflow. Likewise, IONOS’s advertised 99.99% uptime figure has no measurement period or methodology stated on the product page, so it should be read as a vendor claim, not independently verified uptime.
For a decision, give greater weight to whether your build output, runtime, repository workflow, storage needs, and support expectations match the documented service than to broad reviews of IONOS hosting.
