What the ION625 offers
The ION625 uses a compressor and R290 refrigerant. Ionmax’s 2022 manual lists a digital humidity display, Wi-Fi app control, two operating modes—automatic and continuous laundry—a timer of up to 12 hours, and two fan speeds (the fan-speed count is listed by CHOICE). These are published specifications, not independent measurements of real-world performance.

How well does it dehumidify?
The headline 25 L/day figure applies under the manufacturer’s stated test condition of 30°C and 80% RH. A home that is cooler or less humid should not be expected to match that rate. CHOICE’s public product listing gives the 95 m³ recommended maximum room volume, but its detailed performance test and running-cost results are available only to members. The public evidence therefore does not establish how quickly this model dries a particular room, how noisy it is, or what it costs to run.
The manual recommends using the appliance in a room larger than 4 m² with sufficient air circulation. Its humidity target can be set from 30% to 80% RH in 5-point increments. Ionmax states a ±10% RH tolerance for the displayed reading, so treat the display as a guide rather than a precision instrument.

Tank emptying and continuous drainage
The removable tank holds 4 L, substantially less than the rated daily extraction figure. If the appliance collects water quickly, expect to empty the tank during operation; the manual says the unit stops when the tank is full. For longer unattended runs, it supports continuous drainage and Ionmax says a drainage hose is included. Check that a drain is available and the hose can run to it safely before relying on this setup.
Using it for indoor laundry
The manual includes a continuous laundry mode, which makes the ION625 relevant for indoor clothes drying. Allow space around the unit for airflow, keep its air inlets and outlets clear, and follow the manual’s placement and temperature guidance. The published materials do not provide a measured drying time, so the mode should not be taken as a guarantee that a load will dry within a particular number of hours.

Setup, safety and maintenance
Place and start the unit safely
- Use it indoors on a stable, level surface, with at least 30 cm of clearance from curtains and other objects. Do not place it in a small, confined or unventilated area.
- If the unit has been tilted or laid on its back, leave it upright for at least one hour before switching it on.
- Keep the air inlets and outlets unobstructed. The manual specifies an ambient operating range of 5–35°C; CHOICE lists 5–30°C, so check the current manual supplied with the exact unit.
- The appliance contains flammable R290 refrigerant. Ionmax says servicing of the sealed refrigerant loop must be performed by qualified technicians.
Clean the filter and prepare it for storage
- Clean the washable pre-filter gently with a soft-brush vacuum or rinse it with water, as directed in the manual.
- Let the filter dry completely before reinstalling it. Do not operate the unit without the filter.
- Empty the water tank before storage. For long-term storage, clean and dry the tank and filter, then store the appliance upright in a cool, dry, ventilated area.
Should you buy one now?
CHOICE marks the ION625 as discontinued. That does not establish that every retailer is out of stock, but current availability was not confirmed. If you find one, check that the listing identifies the exact ION625—not the Leone Pro ION626—and verify the unit’s condition, warranty and included drainage hose. Ionmax lists the ION626 Leone Pro separately, with different specifications; its features should not be attributed to the ION625.
