Neither provider is a proven universal winner. The better fit depends on your location, how many sites and how much storage you need, and whether you prefer a low introductory price with a long prepaid term or Swiss-based infrastructure and support. The published prices are in different currencies and describe different offers, so they do not establish which host is cheaper on a like-for-like basis.
How do the published plans compare?
The figures below are provider-listed examples, not results from independent testing. They are a snapshot of the checked plan pages; availability and checkout totals can vary by country.

Which host is cheaper after renewal?
The published examples cannot answer that fairly. The dollar figure is a US-dollar promotional offer for a 48-month prepayment, followed by a stated monthly renewal price. Infomaniak’s figure is a CHF starting price, with domains charged separately. Both listed prices exclude VAT.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsTo compare your actual cost, use the same country, tax basis, contract length and service tier. Add renewal charges, domain registration or renewal, and any email you need. Do not treat the $2.99 monthly equivalent as a month-to-month rate.
Which is better for WordPress and multiple websites?
Both providers list WordPress hosting options. The checked Premium plan includes three websites and 20 GB SSD, while Infomaniak Web Hosting lists 20–100 websites and 250–650 GB SSD, WordPress with Divi, and more than 100 CMS options. These are plan descriptions, not evidence that one provider delivers better WordPress speed or reliability.
If you need to host many sites or want the larger listed storage allowance, Infomaniak’s published range may be more suitable. If three sites and 20 GB meet your needs, compare the full term cost and renewal conditions before choosing the introductory offer.

Where is the website hosted?
Infomaniak says it operates its own data centers in Switzerland and that its support agents are based in Geneva or Zurich. If data location matters for your project, review the provider’s current terms and confirm the applicable hosting location for the specific service you plan to buy. This is the company’s stated infrastructure and support location, not an independent audit.
The checked plan page does not establish a comparable hosting-location detail, so it cannot support a direct data-residency comparison.
What do the backup and support details mean?
The published descriptions differ: the Premium plan lists weekly backups, while Infomaniak lists daily automatic backups and seven days’ retention in its plan comparison. Before purchasing, check the current retention period and restoration process, and whether backups meet your recovery needs.
The plan advertises support at all hours; Infomaniak lists support seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Availability hours alone do not establish response time, expertise, or support quality.

Which provider should you choose?
Choose based on upfront pricing and term
Consider the plan if the displayed introductory rate is a priority and you are comfortable paying for 48 months upfront and accounting for the stated renewal price. Check whether its listed site, storage, backup, domain and email allowances fit your project. Review the provider’s current web hosting plans before checkout.

Consider Infomaniak if Swiss data-center location, support based in Geneva or Zurich, or its listed multi-site and storage capacity matters to you. Confirm the specific plan, final CHF cost, separately billed domain, and email requirements. Review Infomaniak web hosting for the provider’s service details.

Check performance claims carefully
The checked plan pages do not establish equivalent independent uptime or performance test results. Infomaniak’s comparison article is vendor-authored, so it represents the company’s position rather than an independent benchmark. Do not choose between the providers on a claim of superior speed or reliability that these sources do not demonstrate.
