Incogni can send removal requests to data brokers and people-search sites it covers, then repeat them over time. It cannot guarantee that your information disappears everywhere, and it does not remove dark-web data. Its dashboard offers visibility into requests, but request counts and confirmations are not proof of permanent or universal deletion.
What Incogni does
Incogni describes its service as automated removal requests to public and private data brokers, with recurring checks and resubmissions. Its coverage includes businesses involved in marketing, recruitment, risk mitigation, and people search, according to Incogni’s support article on broker types.

Broker response times vary: Incogni says some requests are handled within hours while others take weeks. A request is an attempt to have a broker remove or suppress information; it is not a single action that erases every copy held by other companies or people.
Can you see what Incogni requested?
Yes. Incogni’s Help Center says the Exposures page lists individual requests and may show their timeline, status, and the specific information requested for removal. That can help you follow the workflow and see what information was submitted to a broker. It does not establish that all copies of that information have been removed from the internet.

How often does Incogni repeat requests?
Incogni says it periodically resubmits requests because broker records can reappear. Deloitte’s limited-assurance summary describes the audited process as sending recurring requests no more than 60 days apart for public brokers and 90 days apart for private brokers, except when a customer has already been added to a broker’s suppression list. Those intervals describe specified practices as of July 18, 2025; they are not a guarantee of permanent erasure.
What do the coverage and audit figures prove?
Incogni’s pricing page listed coverage of more than 420 brokers when accessed October 7, 2026. Deloitte’s August 6, 2025, limited-assurance summary covered specified Incogni practices and metrics as of July 18, 2025, including processes involving more than 420 brokers, recurring requests, no sale of customer data during 2024, and more than 245 million processed removal requests.
These figures describe operational scale and the scope of a limited-assurance review. They do not show how much one customer’s total exposure falls, nor do request totals equal unique people or confirmed permanent removals. Limited assurance is not a controlled trial of individual effectiveness.

A 2025 study by Jiahui He, Pete Snyder, Hamed Haddadi, Fabián E. Bustamante, and Gareth Tyson examined four commercial personal-information-removal services. Across those services, the study reported that 48.2% of found records were successfully removed, and participants judged only 41.1% of records identified by the services to be their own personal information. These are pooled results, not Incogni-specific success or accuracy rates.
The authors also noted that Incogni participants could not self-assess the accuracy of matched records because the service did not show them the specific personal information contained in records it retrieved. The study cautions that a long broker list alone does not mean a service will find a person’s records or remove them.
Does Incogni remove dark-web data?
No. Incogni’s Help Center says the service does not remove data from the dark web. A broker-removal subscription also should not be treated as deleting compromised credentials, preventing identity theft, or undoing information already copied by third parties. If an account may be compromised, secure that account and follow the relevant provider’s recovery process separately.

Incogni describes Standard plans as handling requests across its covered brokers. Unlimited plans add custom removal work for sites outside Standard coverage. Family options are described as covering the subscriber and up to four additional members. The Help Center also lists Protect and Concierge offerings and says those are currently available only to U.S. residents. Plan names, features, regional eligibility, and coverage can change, so verify the live plan terms before subscribing.

How long should you allow for removal?
Incogni says some broker requests take more than 30 days, while others resolve much sooner. A one-month subscription may therefore be too short to observe the full cycle for every broker. Annual plans include recurring checks and resubmissions, but that timing consideration alone does not mean an annual subscription is the right choice for every reader.
Verdict: useful within limits
Incogni can reduce exposure on brokers it reaches by submitting and repeating opt-out or removal requests, and its dashboard can make the request process more visible. Its own scope limitations and the broader evidence mean it should be viewed as a continuing, bounded removal service—not a way to take all personal data off the market. The key question is whether the brokers and custom-removal features relevant to you are included in the plan available where you live.
