IKEA’s US Queen firm listing provides useful specifications and customer-rating context; comfort and performance claims should be treated as the manufacturer’s, not as independently verified results.
What the VÅGSTRANDA is
IKEA describes VÅGSTRANDA as a pocket-spring mattress with two layers of pocket springs and seven comfort zones. The company says those zones are designed to support the body and promote spine alignment. It also says the spring construction helps reduce motion transfer, relieve pressure and dissipate heat. Those are IKEA’s stated benefits; the available information does not independently verify them for this model.

Which firmness should you choose?
The US listing reviewed here is the firm Queen. Firmness names are not a universal scale, and the available evidence does not establish that the firm version will suit a particular sleep position or body type. If you are choosing between firmness options, confirm which versions are currently offered in your country and consider whether the seller’s return or exchange terms give you a practical way to change course. Do not assume that US options, sizes or policies carry over to another market.

Care and what remains uncertain
IKEA advises adding a mattress protector to help keep the mattress clean. Choose one that matches your mattress dimensions; no particular protector has been evaluated for fit or compatibility with VÅGSTRANDA.
The available evidence establishes the listed construction, dimensions and IKEA’s own performance claims, but not independent, model-specific results for comfort, pressure relief, heat, motion transfer, edge stability or durability. Anonymous owner discussions about firmness can offer personal impressions, but they do not establish how the mattress will perform for other sleepers.
