In its 3 October 2026 weekly roundup, TechRadar selected eight stories from the preceding seven days. The week was heavy on hardware: Amazon refreshed its Kindle line, Samsung introduced new tablets, and Amazon announced a Fire TV Stick 4K. The roundup also covered Meta’s personal-data-dependent AI agent, Peloton treadmills, a children’s phone, and a specialist Vivo camera accessory. Some details—including current prices, exact models and regional availability—were not established in the roundup, so treat launch-period information accordingly.
1. Meta Muse raises a personal-data question
TechRadar described Muse as a phone-based proactive AI agent designed to help with tasks such as filling out forms and remembering a grocery list. The service may become more useful when it has personal context from sources such as a user’s calendar and email. That creates a practical trade-off: more context could help the agent act usefully, but it also means granting access to sensitive personal information. TechRadar reported that Editor at Large Lance Ulanoff tested Muse; that testing is not independent testing for this article.
2. Peloton’s new treadmills add camera-based form tracking
Fitness & Wearables Editor Matt Evans spoke with Peloton executives Nick Caldwell and Meg Higgins about the new treadmills. The changes mentioned include a cushioning system, a redesigned interface and cameras that track exercise form.
Can a treadmill replace your wearable?
Caldwell and Higgins said the camera system can assess workouts better than wrist-worn wearables. That is Peloton executives’ claim, not an independently established comparison: TechRadar’s roundup provides no comparative test results or measured performance figures. The camera-based feature and a wearable also gather information differently, so the claim alone does not establish which option is better for a particular user.

3. Early Prime Big Deal Days offers appeared ahead of the sale
TechRadar reported that early offers on products from Samsung, Blink, Nintendo, Philips and Anker were live before Prime Big Deal Days officially began. The event was due to start on 6 October 2026. Sale dates and discounts are time-sensitive; check Amazon’s live event page and the individual listing before relying on an offer or its price.
4. Amazon announced a Fire TV Stick 4K and redesigned remote
The roundup reports a new Fire TV Stick 4K, an updated remote and Alexa+ AI updates. TechRadar listed a launch-period price of $59.99 / £69.99 in its 3 October 2026 report, while saying international pricing was still to be confirmed. This is dated reporting, not a verified current price. The remote was also reported as available separately for use with an older Fire TV Stick; check the exact remote model’s compatibility with your device before buying.

5. Vivo’s 4.7x teleconverter is a specialist phone-camera accessory
TechRadar identified Vivo’s G2 Ultra 4.7x teleconverter as an accessory unveiled alongside the X500 phone series. The report said it was available to buy only in China at publication, so sales territory and compatibility need checking before considering a purchase elsewhere. TechRadar Cameras Editor Tim Coleman, who the article says had been testing the accessory, called it “a real showcase of what smartphone cameras can be capable of”. That is his reported assessment, not an independently verified performance result here.
6. Freckle Phone pares back the usual app experience
The roundup described the Freckle Phone as a children’s phone for calls and photos without conventional apps. Its developers selected a curated set of apps intended to encourage outdoor activity and exploration. TechRadar’s roundup does not state a price, recommended age, availability or evidence that the device produces particular developmental outcomes; those details should not be assumed from its intended design.

7. Samsung introduced Galaxy Tab S12 tablets and SmartTag 3
TechRadar reported the launch of the Galaxy Tab S12 Plus and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra. It described the Ultra as a 14.6-inch tablet that is faster and slimmer than its predecessor, but the roundup does not provide a complete specification table or the basis for those comparisons. It also reported that Samsung’s SmartTag 3 works with iPhones and adds features and range improvements. Confirm the regional model names, full specifications, availability and device compatibility before buying; the roundup’s summary is not a substitute for model-level details.

What the roundup does—and does not—identify
It does not name the individual Kindle models or provide their specifications, prices, release dates or accessory compatibility. “13th generation” therefore describes the family-level announcement in the report, not a complete product list or a buying recommendation. Check the exact model and accessory pairing before purchasing, particularly if you are upgrading from an existing Kindle.
