Apple has announced an iCloud+ perk that adds Apple TV and Apple Arcade at no extra cost in more than 100 countries and regions, with rollout planned through the end of September 2026. The package is not identical everywhere: in India, Apple also includes Apple Music Select, a collection of curated, ad-free stations—not the full on-demand Apple Music service.
What is the new iCloud+ perk?
Apple announced that subscribers in the markets covered by the rollout will get Apple TV and Apple Arcade with iCloud+ at no additional cost. Apple said the expansion would reach more than 100 countries and regions by the end of September 2026. The announcement does not mean the same services or content are available in every country; Apple says availability varies by country, region, and device. Apple’s India announcement provides specific local terms.

For India, Apple also announced Apple Music Select: curated, ad-free stations. That is distinct from full Apple Music, which Apple lists separately at INR 115 per month for an Individual subscription or INR 145 per month for a Family subscription in India.

The rollout announcement covers more than 100 countries and regions, but it is not a complete market-by-market list of prices, service catalogs, or transition rules. Check Apple’s current subscription information for your country before assuming which services are included. The India terms below should not be applied automatically to other markets.

India pricing and family sharing
Apple says iCloud+ in India starts at INR 75 per month for 50GB; that is an India-specific price, not a global rate. Apple says an iCloud+ plan can be shared with up to five family members through Family Sharing.
India subscription changes
In India, Apple says standalone Apple TV and Apple Arcade subscriptions will end. Existing subscribers will continue access through iCloud+, and Arcade saves and progress will be preserved. Apple One will close to new subscribers in India, while current subscribers can keep their existing subscription.

No. Apple TV 4K is one supported option, not a requirement. Apple lists the Apple TV app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV 4K, popular smart TVs, gaming consoles, and the web. Apple Arcade games are available on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV 4K. Device support and content can still vary by market.

Apple’s separate June 2026 software-release announcement described upcoming changes to Shared Albums and Apple Intelligence. Shared Albums improvements include full-resolution photos and videos, support for more file types, emoji reactions, album activity feeds, and temporary collaborative albums that do not use iCloud storage. Apple also said most iCloud+ plans would have higher daily usage limits for some Apple Intelligence features, with support for compatible Home cameras. These are distinct from the country-specific Apple TV and Arcade bundle.
