Customer support can avoid restarting troubleshooting when an application retrieves relevant customer history before an agent suggests the next step. In a September 28, 2026 DEV Community article, SripriyaMallari describes a Streamlit support app that uses Hindsight persistent memory for that purpose. There is a naming mismatch: the article title calls the project “Resolvel0,” while its body calls the application “ResolveIQ.”
Why remember earlier support attempts?
When a customer returns with the same issue, an agent may not know what failed, what was tried, and whether the attempted fix actually worked. Without that customer history, the conversation can feel disconnected and support may repeat troubleshooting that has already been completed.

The described app is intended to surface full context before the agent acts. It does not automate the support decision or claim to solve the underlying problem; it retrieves prior interactions that may help an agent choose a more informed next step.

How the described workflow retrieves customer history
- The agent provides a customer identifier and the current issue.
- The application uses Hindsight persistent memory to retrieve semantically relevant past interactions.
- It evaluates the retrieved history for recurring problems, completed verification or troubleshooting, and signs of customer frustration.
- The agent uses that context to decide what to do next, including whether escalation is appropriate.
The author describes a Streamlit application using the Hindsight Python client and illustrates an asynchronous recall request with bank_id="resolveiq" and a query. The article does not establish production hosting, performance, or the security and retention controls surrounding the integration.

Example: a payment failure after bank verification
In the article’s example, customer C102 reports a recurring payment failure. During an earlier case, support asked the customer to complete bank verification. The verification was completed, but the payment problem later returned.
If the recalled customer history shows that sequence, the agent can see that verification was already attempted and did not resolve the recurring issue. Instead of starting again with bank verification, the agent can review the prior case and consider escalation.

As SripriyaMallari puts it, “The difference is not that the system magically solves the payment problem. The difference is that the agent receives relevant history before repeating a step that has already been attempted.”
What the article establishes—and what it does not
The article presents the workflow and payment scenario as the author’s design and an illustrative example. It provides no measured reduction in repeated steps, customer satisfaction results, accuracy evaluation, or comparison with a baseline. The example therefore shows the intended use of memory, not proof of improved support outcomes.

It also does not describe how the application handles incorrect or stale memories, customer identity collisions, access control, deletion requests, or sensitive information. Those are important considerations when evaluating a real support system, but the article does not establish how this project addresses them. Nor does it establish that the project is public, licensed, hosted, maintained, or commercially available.

- Can agents inspect the retrieved history and correct it when it is wrong or outdated?
- Does the system clearly distinguish a step that was attempted from one that successfully fixed the issue?
- How are customer identity, access permissions, retention, and deletion handled?
- How often does retrieved context help agents avoid repeating work, and how is that measured?
