Can two people play HYPERCHARGE on one Switch?

What can you play in split-screen?
Split-screen is not limited to a particular mission type. The developer says it applies to the full story campaign and to PvP and party-game modes, in both offline and online sessions.
Story campaign
Players sharing a console can work through the story campaign together. If you prefer a private couch session, select the offline route; if friends are joining from other locations, use online play while the local players remain on the same split-screen.

- Open the game on every console and choose the local-wireless option, not the single-system split-screen option.
- Have one console create or host the local room, then have the other consoles search for and join it using the prompts in their current game build.

If the game does not show an online control after local players join, back out to the multiplayer menu and choose online first; the order of these prompts can differ by version. Can you play HYPERCHARGE offline?
Yes. Digital Cybercherries describes a complete offline experience with commandable player bots. Offline play is useful when nobody has an online membership or when the group wants to play without an internet connection. A second local player cannot join

Friends cannot find the local-wireless room

A mixed couch-and-online session will not start
