The processor specifications differ substantially from the Snapdragon X Plus X1P-42-100—but HP’s official materials reviewed here confirm an OmniBook X1 Plus model in the separate OmniBook X line, not an OmniBook Ultra with X1 Plus. So this is a chip comparison, not a verified head-to-head comparison of two OmniBook Ultra configurations.
Are there OmniBook Ultra models with both processors?
HP’s Ireland specification page identifies the OmniBook Ultra 14 14-kg0001sax (D8XK7EA) with the Snapdragon X2 Plus X2P-64-100. HP’s UK store lists another Ultra 14 configuration, D8VZ9EA, with the same processor. The official HP X1 Plus material identified for comparison is for an OmniBook X, a different product line—not an OmniBook Ultra. That distinction matters: the available evidence does not establish two otherwise comparable Ultra models or a measured upgrade from an Ultra X1 Plus to an Ultra X2 Plus.

HP’s January 5, 2026 consumer portfolio announcement discussed the OmniBook Ultra 14 in the context of an HP-exclusive Snapdragon X2 Elite variant and next-generation Intel Core Ultra processors. Later regional HP product pages list X2 Plus Ultra configurations. An announcement and a regional retail SKU describe different things, so check the exact model number and market when evaluating a listing.

The table compares the named parts X2P-64-100 and X1P-42-100. Qualcomm’s X2 Plus and X Plus families each include other processor SKUs, so family names alone do not identify every specification.

| Memory platform bandwidth | LPDDR5x, up to 152GB/s | LPDDR5x, up to 135GB/s |
These are Qualcomm’s platform specifications, not independent laptop performance results. The figures show more CPU cores, higher listed graphics frequency, greater cache, and higher NPU and memory-bandwidth specifications for the X2P-64-100. They do not establish how much faster an actual laptop will be in everyday use or sustained workloads. NPU TOPS describes accelerator capability; it is not a general speed score, and it does not prove that every application will run faster. HP notes that NPU performance depends on system configuration, software optimization, and usage conditions.
What do the confirmed OmniBook Ultra configurations include?

HP UK: D8VZ9EA
HP’s UK store listing describes a separate X2P-64-100 Ultra 14 configuration with 16GB memory, a 512GB SSD, and a 14-inch 2K OLED touchscreen. The differing storage capacity illustrates why the processor name alone is not enough to compare laptop offers. The listing’s price and availability can change; its observed promotional price should not be treated as a current or recurring price. Check HP’s UK store listing for the live configuration and terms.
What can you conclude about speed, battery life, and compatibility?
The chip specifications support a comparison of stated hardware capabilities, but not a reliable percentage uplift for an OmniBook Ultra. No matched independent test of an OmniBook Ultra X2 Plus against an OmniBook Ultra X1 Plus is established here—and HP’s identified X1 Plus model belongs to another line. Cooling, power limits, memory, display, battery, software, and workload can all affect results in a complete laptop.

For a purchase decision, look for independent tests of the exact laptop models under comparable conditions. Battery life, sustained CPU and GPU performance, thermals, and application compatibility are better assessed that way than by comparing processor specifications alone. If a seller advertises an “OmniBook Ultra X1 Plus,” verify its full HP product number and configuration before assuming it is an official Ultra variant.

What to check before choosing a listing
- Processor part number: Confirm whether the listing names X2P-64-100, X1P-42-100, or another SKU. “X2 Plus” and “X1 Plus” each cover more than one chip.
- Full laptop model and region: Match the HP product number to the regional HP page; configurations and availability vary by market.
- Whole-device specifications: Compare memory, storage, display, battery, ports, weight, and included or separately sold accessories.
- Workload evidence: Use tests of the exact models for your applications and priorities rather than treating NPU TOPS or peak clock figures as a real-world benchmark.
