Check Tubi’s current catalogue before watching, because this availability has not been confirmed on a Tubi episode page. Outside the US, streaming rights vary by country; search for the episode by title rather than relying on its season number.
How to find the Flydubai episode
Search your streaming service for “Holding Pattern” or “Flydubai Flight 981.” The episode listings do not agree on its season and episode number: TechRadar calls it S22E01, National Geographic UK labels it S21, ep 1, and Disney+ lists it as S21:E2. Searching by title or flight number is more reliable than searching by number. TechRadar’s viewing guide, the National Geographic UK programme page, and Disney+ list the episode.

Where to watch “Holding Pattern” by country
United States
TechRadar reported on 2 October 2026 that Tubi carries the episode free with ads and requires registration. Search Tubi for “Holding Pattern” or “Flydubai Flight 981” and confirm the episode is still listed in your account’s regional catalogue. Tubi supports Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, according to TechRadar, but a Fire TV device is optional if you already have another compatible way to watch.
United Kingdom
TechRadar reports that Prime Video has the first 11 Mayday seasons in the UK, which do not include this later Flydubai episode. National Geographic UK lists “Holding Pattern” and provides broadcast listings, but a programme page does not guarantee the episode is available on demand. Check the broadcaster’s current listings and local streaming catalogues.

The available listings do not establish a current legal streaming service for every country. Search local streaming catalogues and official broadcaster listings for the episode title. Availability in the US, UK, or Australia does not establish availability elsewhere.

Can you watch it from abroad?
Start with services legally available where you are and check whether they include the episode. TechRadar discusses using a VPN to access the US Tubi stream, but access depends on Tubi’s terms and regional restrictions; a VPN does not guarantee that the episode will play. Do not assume that a service listing in another country is available to you.

“Holding Pattern” covers Flydubai Flight 981’s crash at Rostov Airport. National Geographic describes investigators examining the crash and a lethal aviation trap; Disney+ also identifies the flight and airport in its listing. Those catalogue descriptions establish the episode’s subject, not a detailed account of the accident’s causes or a current aviation-safety assessment.
